cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2005 Even if something this silly happened I hardly think it'd be the main event of WM. It might be a goofy special attraction type match. What's this hard on some people have for the Warrior anyway? Sure maybe 7 or 8 years ago some wondered what happened to him and wanted to see him again, but after the fiasco of Halloween Havoc 98 I never wanted to see him again EVER. Prophet of Mike Zagurski 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2005 I heard it was going to be Bret vs. Vince... Look that tag team match won't happen. Last I heard, Rock was on bad terms with the company cause they didn't resign but he on the RAW superstars page. We know the Warrion is crazy so he probably go off ranting or something unless the WWE wants him to pull a Matt Hardy. Hogan/Austin isn't going to happen either. I heard Vince wanted to do this match for WM XIX and the money wasn't right or something.... Maybe HHH will do a run in and Pedigree all the competitors. The fuck did you hear that??!! That's an internet rumor at its very best (or worst depending how you look at it). Rock is on fine terms with WWE, under a verbal contract that allows him to appear when possible. He was supposed to be the surprise partner for Michaels on Raw weeks ago, that Hogan ended up taking. He just had scheduling conflicts with his latest film. Chances are as long as he has time to do so, he'll be at Mania this year. Again, where are you hearing about no Hogan/Austin? Hogan and Austin themselves are even hinting at it in recent interviews and it is currently penciled in, not concrete but looking like it's very possible. slabinskia 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2005 IMO,99% would mark out for a hogan/austin match and about 50 % wouldn't admit it.I don't know what has held them back from having the match.Health isn't an issue because in the end they would both roll down in their wheelchairs if the money was good.Money prabably isn't an issue because otherwise you wouldn't see either make any tv appearences like they have over the years.I can see both guys not wanting to job which is pretty ridiculous.Btw,a tag match wouldn't make any sense because then the drawing power of the singles match is lessoned. Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2005 Warrior coming back rumors are just stupid. He is a loose canon now and WWE doesn't want to risk not being able to control him. Rock is back on good terms as stated previously. He got some pub this last spring when Be Cool was premiering. WWE wouldn't show him if they weren't cool with him. I personally dont want to see Austin/Hogan because I think the match will suck balls, but I could see them (Austin and Hogan) trying to make it happen for the WM check, which is usually quite big and since they would be at least co-headlining, they'd get some pretty decent coin from a one match deal. Vince would do it. It's just up to the men to put it together. And isn't Bret going to be leading the Invasion here pretty soon?
algrim 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2005 Am I the only one that doesn't want to see this? Seriously, Hogan/Austin might be the lesse of two evils, but why burn Rocky with this kind of match? Hogan has basically no offense and I don't to see Warrior in any capacity whatsoever. And RawMWP, finish your russian girl story. I don't care if it's real or not, but we need closure on this. Guest Hass of Pain Report post Posted July 22, 2005 I recently e-mailed a very well known wrestling guru (no, not Scott Keith) about what the WWE has in store for WM 22. I would give you the journalist's name, but he told me not to divulge this info to anyone else nor associate his name with the above information. What the hell, I'll break his first request, but not the second. I will, however, say that he's one of the following : Meltzer, Keller, Scherer. Here's his reply to my e-mail: Believe it or not, WWE is involving one of it's DVD's into a storyline that will peak at WM 22. As you probably know, WWE is releasing an Ultimate Warrior 2 disc-set, titled, "the self-destruction of the Ultimate Warrior." Well, that's not only a work, but it will play into an angle starting in the Fall that will culminate at WM 22. Originally, it was supposed to be Hogan v. Austin at Mania 22, but since Hogan and Austin are wary of what kind of match they will have (since both have major injury issues), Hogan proposed a Hogan/Ultimate Warrior vs. Austin/Rock tag team match at WM 22. Vince agreed, and has set the wheels in motion with a scathing and derisive DVD that will provoke the Warrior to return. Vince, btw, will be one of the main antagonists in the feud. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lord you're an idiot. Anyone who's read or emailed any of the above three writers knows that this isn't their writing style at all. Meltzer is far less articulate and would have told you this in one sentence. Keller wouldn't have told you in the first place, and Scherer doesn't write nearly that conversationally. None of the three a)write anything like that, b)would tell this to you and not have posted it in their newsletter or elite section by now. Don't be stupid. Guest jackie fargo Report post Posted July 22, 2005 The plans are already in motion for a Hogan-Austin Main-event at wrestle-mania- And right now, that's the big problem with Hogans SS match with HBK, the finish is yet undecided because of the potential match, wanting to keep Hogan looking strong for a possible fued with Austin.. Of course, this isn't set in stone, but the working idea is to have a Hogan-Austin match, things could always change though.. Interviews from both individuals state they are both wanting a match-also I got this from a OVW worker, but of course his info obvouisly isn't coming from Vince..
