Guest wildpegasus Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 http://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=11952&p=2 SMACKDOWN SPOILERS FROM ROCHESTER, NEW YORK: HOUR ONE by Mike Johnson @ 9:30:00 PM on 7/26/2005 Eric Buttaccio called in the following from the Smackdown taping in Rochester, New York: Smackdown: *Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long came out to announce the main event for Summerslam when JBL came to the ring and said that his contract stipulates he gets a rematch with Batista and that makes him the number one contender, not the Undertaker. Long announces JBL vs. Undertaker for later tonight with the winner being the number one contender to Batista's WWE World championship. *Chris Benoit & Booker T defeated WWE United States champion Orlando Jordan & Christian when Benoit forced Jordan to tap out to the Crippler Crossface. Christian had the chance to save Jordan but instead walked out. *Backstage Road Warrior Animal told Heidenreich it was time for the "next step" and began shaving his hair into a mohawk. *WWE World Tag Team champions Road Warrior Animal & Heidenreich defeated Chris Hamrick & Chuck Tealy (name here may be wrong). *Backstage, MNM announced they had hired a publicist (it was WWE developmental diva Jillian Hall). The publicist announced Melina vs. Torrie Wilson for later tonight. *Rey Mysterio came out with his son Dominic. Eddie Guerrero came out and said that even though he promised not to reveal the secret, he lied. He reveals that he, not Rey is Dominic's father. Dominic hops the railing and runs away through the crowd, with Rey chasing him. Eddie says that back when he and his wife were separated, he "got a sl** pregnant" with Dominic, and he "out of the goodness of his heart" allowed Rey and his wife to adopt him because they couldn't have children. They played it off like more would be revealed next week.
CanadianChris Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 PLEASE tell me they're going to put the US title on Christian, at least. Throw me a bone here.
Guest *KNK* Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Great work on the timeline. Dominic is 7. Unless im wrong, but didnt they seperate much later?
Gary Floyd Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Please let them find something for Christien to do. That's all I'm saying.
iliketurtles Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 I had a feeling they were going to go down that uncreative route.
Guest Fook Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 I was hoping the secret was something more than "I AM YOUR FATHER!" I hope that this does lead to a high profile feud for Christian, but it's probably just a quickie thing to set up a four-way for the US title at Summerslam.
GreatWhiteNope Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 *Backstage Road Warrior Animal told Heidenreich it was time for the "next step" and began shaving his hair into a mohawk. CREE-EE-EEPY
The Amazing Rando Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Someone tell Heidenreich to watch out for the step that falls off the back of the TitanTron.
Guest *KNK* Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 I can't believe Eddy went along with the timeline error of his "son" being born before he and his wife split up.
Guest Fook Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Next week: Heidenreich no-sells a piledriver!
AlaskanHero Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 I was hoping for a better secret, but I will say it's not as bad as it could've been. It's still shitty, but not as shitty as it potentially could've been.
Precious Roy Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Eddie says that back when he and his wife were separated, he "got a sl** pregnant" with Dominic, and he "out of the goodness of his heart" allowed Rey and his wife to adopt him because they couldn't have children. Called it to the fucking letter. And they couldn't come up with better jobbers for LOL2005 than CONFEDERATE CURRENCY and some asshole?!?!
BorneAgain Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 If this U.S. title situation does lead to fatal four way at Summerslam Christian has to win in. He needs a championship more than practically anyone on the Smackdown roster let alone in the other three guys.
RedJed Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 I can't believe Eddy went along with the timeline error of his "son" being born before he and his wife split up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You DO realize that a very itsy bitsy minority of people even know that? Its kind of a non factor in the big scheme of things in that the angle is incredibly predictable, but I guess it serves it purpose - next big match at SummerSlam.
AndrewTS Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Next week: Heidenreich no-sells a piledriver! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm surprised Heidy hasn't done "WEEEEEEELL!" yet. Eric Buttaccio People make up internet aliases for a reason, fella. *Backstage, MNM announced they had hired a publicist (it was WWE developmental diva Jillian Hall). The publicist announced Melina vs. Torrie Wilson for later tonight. ...

Angle-plex Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 But when will Heidenreich become a drunk and fall off the titantron?
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 At least there won't be a three-way at SummerSlam... Wait...
razazteca Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Next week: Heidenreich no-sells a piledriver! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm surprised Heidy hasn't done "WEEEEEEELL!" yet. They need to get Paul Heyman as their manager so Heidenreich can say "WELL, TELL 'EM PAUL!"
claydude14 Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Does MNM's publicist have a giant mole? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was there, and yea. But not just a mole. It's pretty much a tumor growth around one of her ears. Pretty gross. There's a backstage segment where Melina introduce the boys to her and of course camera side we see her good side the whole time. Then she turns away and the tumor thingy is on camera, insert crowd reaction of what they thought was a good looking women (still is though no doubt). I don't know how the crowd responded to her when she came to the ring because I was at the concessions at this point.

And I'm assuming Eddie will then explain he's also the father of Rey's daughter, considering he said Rey and his wife "couldn't have kids"? Or will there be a third wheel thrown in as the father of Aaliyah?
BHK Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 At least there won't be a three-way at SummerSlam... Wait... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm assuming there will be a doublue pin/no finish to Taker/JBL leading to the 3-way.

It's just yet another case of Creative ripping off an Austin Powers movie (Goldmember, in this case.)
Aero Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 *Melina (with Jilliam Hall) pinned Torrie Wilson (with Candice Michelle) with her feet on the ropes. *Backstage, The Mexicools are mistaken to be concession workers. *William Regal vs. Scotty Too Hotty never took place as The Mexicools came out carrying concession items and attacked them both. Psicosis shoved the referee as well. *JBL pinned The Undertaker to become the number one contender to the WWE World championship after Randy Orton hit Taker with an RKO. Dark Match: *WWE World champion Batista pinned JBL with a Batista Bomb.
claydude14 Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 The Regal-Hotty match was such a clear sign of Mexicool antics. Especially because Regal got announced before back from commercials, because his entrance was interupted by Summerslam promo; and then his music faded back in I assume as Smackdown! did. Then Scotty came out to a ridiculous pop.
CanadianChick Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Aw, London isn't on Smackdown again. Was he on Velocity?
Guest JMA Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Way to cop-out on Taker being the number one contender--I was actually looking forward to Batista vs. Taker. Don't get me wrong, the match probably won't be any good, but it could get lots of heat if they booked both Taker and Batista as equally unstoppible.
Masked Man of Mystery Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 *Melina (with Jilliam Hall) pinned Torrie Wilson (with Candice Michelle) with her feet on the ropes. This have really become the most overused finish in the fed of late
