So I appericate that ea updated the roster so early and especially this soon. I remember last year they didn't update till the season start. Guest MikeSC Report post Posted August 9, 2005 I got my copy at 12:46 AM. Woohoo, NFL superstar. Played a game against a friend, Eagles 33 Pats 30. Really like the look and play so far. That NFL Superstar looks like it'll take days just to learn how to do everything. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What is the point of practice? You have to do it, but it seems to be never-ending and it's absurd that you call both offensive and defensive plays. And the new passing system is horrible. I cut it off it got so irksome. On other things of note, I find the new FOX-esque heads-up display interesting, but since it spans the entire top of the screen, it's a little distracting. My first impressions are: - undecided on the vision cone, but I turned it off at halftime. - the new precision passing is a cool idea, but I was having some trouble actually using it. - graphics and gameplay are pretty smooth. I agree with Porter that it felt like last year's game without the vision cone on, but that's ok as the last Madden I have is '04. - the THX surround sound kicks major ass. (that's the last Madden game I had) off topic to Matt Young: hey I have a major bug going on on my MLB 2K5 and was wondering if you had the same shit happen...everytime I go to play a game and the DH rule is in effect, my pitcher always somehow winds up in the batting order...also, in non-DH games, he always ends up batting like 4th or 5th...now when I go to roster manager and look at my lineups, they are set up how I want them to be...have you had this happen to you yet? I only played MLB in online leagues. The game was horrible compared to MVP, and I traded it in long ago.
