Failed Bridge Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 the heavyweight fights are always terrible. They should just stop with the heavyweights in this competition and in future seasons focus on the Welterweights and Lightweights. At least this bald asshole is bleeding to no end making it somewhat entertaining.
Ripper Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 unless something freaky happens in 30 seconds, Rashad is going to the finals. I got to admit, the guy knows how not to lose. Not how to win definitively or anything, but he knows how not to lose.
AmericanDragon Posted November 1, 2005 Author Report Posted November 1, 2005 Seth's fancy kicks will get him brutally knocked out by Brad.
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 Seths not so subtle Xyience plug was classic. "This. Is. Good."
Guest Brian Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 Goodness, Hughes made a face turn.
Lei Tong Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 I still stick by my idea that the HW winner should immediately be shot execution style by Arlovski, because quite frankly none of these guys will ever deserve to face him.
razazteca Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 Forget about throwing Rashad at Arlovski have him fight Matt Hughes at UFC 58.
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 All the HW save for Imes and Seth would probably drop to LHW. Yes, that includes Whitehead, according to Tim Sylvia. I think his head alone pushes him into HW category.
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,174086,00.html Really good article.
AmericanDragon Posted November 2, 2005 Author Report Posted November 2, 2005 I don't think Joe vs Jason will go past the first round.
AmericanDragon Posted November 2, 2005 Author Report Posted November 2, 2005 If Joe hadn't screwed around before going for a takedown that could have been a lot quicker.
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 Joe is a beast. Joe vs. Luke First Picked vs. Last
Failed Bridge Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 I can't wait to see a future match between Joe Stevenson and Diego Sanchez. Luke is tough but I don't think he has a snowball's chance in hell against Joe.
Lei Tong Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 And in the HW final no one cares about, Rashad should lightly punch Imes for 15 minutes en route to a JD.
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 They should, like, put that in the prelim and if it really sucks just show it in highlight form, but if it's good, act like it's live and put it on in full. I'd rather be burned by missing a shitty full fight than having to watch a shitty full fight.
Guest Brian Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 God, I got pissed watching this show. Motherfucking sloppy. I threw shit at the TV. Jason threw himself right into that fucking armbar. Seth lost that fight in the second round like a dumbass, and Brad looked like he had nothing on just about everything he threw (or should I say, connected with because it looked like he missed a ton of shots on the ground from those angles).
starvenger Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 I still stick by my idea that the HW winner should immediately be shot execution style by Arlovski, because quite frankly none of these guys will ever deserve to face him. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> After last night, I can't disagree. Imes may become a lot better in the future, but right now he doesn't deserve to even be "enhancement talent" for Arlovski...
Failed Bridge Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 God, I got pissed watching this show. Motherfucking sloppy. I threw shit at the TV. Jason threw himself right into that fucking armbar.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jason is probably a good kickboxer but as soon as it got to the ground you had to know it was over. Jason's face still looked like hamburg from the fight he had with Jorge, his left eye was swollen shut halfway through the first round, and that cut got reopened. It wasn't going to last much longer than it did if he didn't get put in that armbar.
The Niggardly King Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 I can't wait to see a future match between Joe Stevenson and Diego Sanchez. Luke is tough but I don't think he has a snowball's chance in hell against Joe. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Cummo's got this one in the bag. Just look at those eyes... those are the eyes of a killer.
razazteca Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 If Cummo was a pro wrestler he would be Dean Malenko or Al Snow, all business in the ring but vanilla when it comes to interviews.
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 *Here is the entire card for "Ultimate Fight Night" on Saturday night in Las Vegas: *Diego Sanchez Vs Nick Diaz *Joe Stevenson Vs Luke Cummo for the Welterweight contract *Brad Imes Vs Rashad Evans for the Heavyweight contract *Kenny Florian Vs Kit Cope *Keith Jardine Vs Kerry Schall *Marcus Davis Vs Melvin Guillard *Josh Berkman Vs Sammy Morgan The UFC has stated that they will attempt to air as many of the fights as possible (-LAW)
Guest Brian Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 The card looks awesome if they can fit on a few pre-lims. I figure they Florian fight goes first if they have time, but I'm more interested in Guillard/Davis and Berkman/Morgan. The things was, Jason had an easy escape in that fight and could have just pulled guard for the last ten or twenty seconds and gone the LNP route until the end of the round. His head was through, then he pulled out and turned right into the armbar; it was near embarrasing. I am very surprised they didn't bring him back, though, as he showed a lot of personality and character. I would have booked him against Guillard, personally.
Sass Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 I'm thinking the UFC should either let Andrei fight two guys at the same time on UFC shows or hold a heavyweight tourney where Andrei gets to steamroll through 3 guys in 3 rounds. This season's heavyweight "fighters" were a fuckin joke and a half.
Guest Brian Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 Speaking of Arlovski, he has a blog up at the new ufc.tv IMO, what they should do with Arlovski, and part of this is based on how I feel they should re-tool Unleashed for the long-term, is that they should open up Arlovski's training. Much like Ali used to do in the day, I'd have Arlovski talk trash while sparring, posing in the midst of lifting, and other assorted theatrics, in broken English. And he must use the Drago-line "I will break you". Then, you can open him up to exhibitions in the same way.
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 Bonnar/Griffin is on Unleashed tonight.
razazteca Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 Will Spike tv do a TUF marathon on Saturday before the season finale?
Lord of The Curry Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 Sanchez vs Diaz is going to be a serious barrio-ass throwdown.
Golgo 13 Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 Look what I found. http://img382.imageshack.us/img382/545/hahahah6db.gif The Rashad Dance.
