King Kamala 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2005 Show me the executive who said "You know who's funny? Michael Rappaport....we should give him a sitcom by golly!" and I'm going to light a bag of dog poop on fire and stick it on that that executive's front porch. Guest *KNK* Report post Posted September 11, 2005 What's worst is that they had this show on Fox 3 years ago with a better star and better cast with Grounded for Life.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2005 I didn't realize this show had even aired yet.

The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2005 Is it just me or have there been a lot of "frustrated dad can't control his hot daughter" sitcoms
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2005 Is it just me or have there been a lot of "frustrated dad can't control his hot daughter" sitcoms <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not to mention a Tony Danza movie.
Guest Fishyswa Report post Posted September 12, 2005 I don't care if it looks like it's the biggest peice of shit since Cybill Sheppards show, you really can't say it sucks until you've actually seen it suck. I like Rappaport so I'll check it.

Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2005 I guess I'm spoiled by Arrested and The Office, because a minute in and I already hate the laugh track.

Guest *KNK* Report post Posted September 12, 2005 Why do producers insist on laugh tracks? they only make shows worst and this show doesnt need that help to make it worst.
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted September 12, 2005 Yeah, 15 minutes into this episode The War at Home is clearly the worst new tv show this year.

slimm44 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2005 Saw the first 30 seconds, realized how bad it was going to be and how much of a Titus rip off it was going to be so i fast forwarded my tape to family guy
Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2005 Titus deserved a much better rip-off than this piece of shit.

CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2005 I didn't mind most of it, but it seemed a bit on the...racist side. Maybe I'm just being too sensitive.
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2005 has Rappaport done ANYTHING worthwhile since his small role in True Romance?

Maybe I'm just being too sensitive. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wouldn't say you're too sensitive. He tried playing off the whole ''HIS NAME IS BOOTY?" crap, but he didn't imply anything; he explicitly said whoaaaa, he's black@*(&@ his daughter is hot, though. and Ravenbomb, he was pretty alright on Boston Public. This whole comedy thing he does ... is not.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2005 I'd be beyond surprised if the show lasts more than a month. It was painfully bad ... I thought it might swing back to 'so bad it's good', much like Unhappily Ever After did. But, no, it stalled out at painfully bad. /looking forward to repeat airings of Simpsons & Family Guy in October, when this trash gets the ax.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2005 I agree on the points about the laughing track...gave me a "It's Fair Enough" commercial vibe...
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2005 has Rappaport done ANYTHING worthwhile since his small role in True Romance? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He was good on Boston Public IMO actually I didn't hate the war at home last night. It wasn't great, but it wasn't that bad either. I sorta enjoyed it. But it's forgettable. The best part was The father needing to be defibulated(sorry about the spelling, I am lazy today). It will get canned very soon though. I guess this means this is one of the shows that replaced "Quintuplets" which I enjoyed very much and was shocked actually got a full season last year. Cherry Blossom Viscount 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2005 People at Wal-Mart laughed at it. But there's no room for these sort of comedies anymore, they've been done so many times and better at that. Plus, these days there are plenty of smarter, funnier sitcoms to watch, who needs dreck like this? Though, I do wonder how Married w/ Children would have done had it been released in this era.
