pochorenella 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Kiss Rules. But, yeah, this movie is pretty bad. This coming from a die-hard fan for life. Will I buy it? Quite possibly.
dubq 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Kiss is glorified disco with guitars. How anyone could ever even come close to suggesting that they're metal (which I've seen done a million times) is just in-fucking-sane.
CBright7831 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 One of the funniest KISS memories I have is when they showed up unannounced at the 1996 Grammys and went on stage with Tupac Shakur. I still can't find any pictures of that moment.
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Kiss is glorified disco with guitars. How anyone could ever even come close to suggesting that they're metal (which I've seen done a million times) is just in-fucking-sane. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dude, you obviously don't know shit about Kiss, so kindly keep your ignorant comments to yourself. Kiss glorified disco?!? They did have a disco phase back in the day (and had their biggest hit single, mind you), but to call them entirely that just reeks of ignorance. About the metal thing, Kiss got tagged with the Metal category when everybody from Quiet Riot to Bon Jovi was named as such. Even fricking Jethro Tull won a Grammy Award for Best Metal Band!! Just goes to show you that sometimes things and/or people get categorized in the wrong way. So no, Kiss is not metal. Rock? You betcha. One of the funniest KISS memories I have is when they showed up unannounced at the 1996 Grammys and went on stage with Tupac Shakur. I still can't find any pictures of that moment I still remember watching that and marking the hell out, as I didn't have a clue what was going on. That moment is on the Kiss: Second Coming DVD. Can't tell you how to find pictures of it, though, sorry.

I have friends AND siblings who are into them, big time and have been ever since I can remember. I've had to put up with their god awful "music" for 90% of my life - I've heard all of their albums - from Dressed to Kill to Double Platnum, to the godawful solo projects and that ghey ballad "Forever" in the early 90's.. and yes they suck, yes they are glorified disco-glamrock-whatever, and yes Paul Stanley is the epitome of 'queer as folk'. pochorenella 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Kiss is widely regarded (not only by me) as one of the greatest and most influential Rock bands of all-time. Recordings like "Destroyer" and "Alive!" regularly rank as some of the greatest rock albums ever (check the latest Hit Parader list of all-time), and Paul Stanley is one of rock's most beloved and recognizable frontmen. Your statements really don't mean squat. You don't like Kiss? That's all good and dandy, go listen to The Knack or Sergio Mendez or whatever else you might like. Bye bye. Paul Stanley 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2005 Wait, wait.. He likes THE KNACK? Then i guess all his comments are marked as 'invalid' Seriously, C.O.T.N is one of the best metal albums to have come out in the 80's.

You can keep your cross-dressing "greatest and most influential rock band of all-time" and I'll stick to real musicians like Johnny Cash, thank you very much. Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2005 Kiss is a cool band.Sure, it's big, dumb arena rock. But it KNOWS it's big fumb arena rock. It's mostly done in a tongue and cheek fashion, and that's part of what makes the band so enjoyable. Their music isn't anything too serious, and that's why it's great. Basically, how could anyone hate Kiss is beyond me. Kiss is rock because of two words: War Machine My favorite Kiss song.
