Has Sam Jackson lost his mind?

Recommended Posts

Okay, a quick glance at his IMDB page right here shows the following slated for 06 or later:

Snakes on a Plane. Plot synopsis - "On board a flight over the Pacific Ocean, an assassin, bent on killing a passenger who's a witness in protective custody, let loose a crate full of deadly snakes."

Black Snake Moan. Plot synopsis - "The plot involves a white nymphomaniac who must be "cured" of her disorder by an older black bluesman "

Afro Samurai (TV miniseries and movie). Plot synopsis - "A black Samurai goes on a mission to avenge the wrongful death of his father in a futuristic feudal Japan."

Okay, honestly, I might watch Snakes on a Plane (Maybe not in theaters), just to see if it's as bad as it sounds.

Just one note, 2004: A Light Knight's Odyssey didn't have any plot information, so I left it out, and Freedomland is not on here because it's got a 2005 tag on it from IMDB (And also because it sounds like it might be good, and thus, detract from my point of Sam Jackson = crazy).

he's never been good.  he was just in pulp fiction.  chappelle should take credit for making people care about him.

His Performances in Jungle Fever and A Time To Kill are better than most any thing you have seen. He made Shaft seem quality. Hell, his performances in shit movies like Caveman's Valentine was incredible.

Ripper - telling people their opinion since now.

I'd watch Afro Samurai if it's made by the right people...

Black Snake Moan would be better if he was fucking the white bitches rather than trying to cure them of their nymphomania...

I think that's what it meant with the word cured in quotation marks. But I could be wrong. Maybe it's Justin Timberlake curing the woman (Who, from the cast list is probably Christina Ricci).

I like Sam Jackson...but looking over his stuff at IMDB I'm having a hard time finding roles I really liked by him.

Die Hard 3, Pulp Fiction, A Time To Kill...never seen the newer Star Wars movies.

I know what Eugene Levy was thinking with "The Man", but what the fuck was Samuel L thinking?

Also "Formula 51" ruled your asses.

Admit it.

Mr. Jackson needs to give some of these roles to Michael Duncan Clark or to Ving Rhames....the man needs to branch out beyond the angry black man and the crack fiend.

I heard Formula 51 was cool, but seeing as I have only seen parts of it, i didn't list it.

Snakes on a Plane.

When Hollywood is stealing movie ideas from Saturday Night Live sketches that weren't even good in the first place, you know something is very, very wrong.

But at least he never yelled "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

Yeah, that yell killed the Star Wars coolness of Darth forever.

James Earl Jones should have told Lucas to fuck off.

Cause with those lines, his voice should have been done by Gilbert Gottfried.

Also, these things are from IMDB for christ sake. That place isn't exactly reliable info city. They have him as a voice in a movie that he has no clue what it is. Either Sammy doesn't talk to his agent and just shows up on the set he's told too, or alot of this is false info.

What's the problem?

Snake on A Plane looks like a straight B movie, but 2004: A Light Knight's Odyssey and Black Snake Moan both involve quality people in the cast and/or filmmakers. AfroSamurai sounds great, I hope it turns out well.

Samuel L. said he's not in Light Knight's and has no clue what the world it is.

Samuel just so blatantly cashes the paycheck I actually kind of admire it. I mean watch something like Twisted sometime, he's barely in it at all (it's an Ashley Judd vehicle mainly) but he occasionally shows up to do something cool and remind you that "Yes, I am here and I am getting paid."
