Toxxic Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Uh-uh. It's sit-out, like the J-Driller. So, Blank, a sit-out sheer-drop Tiger Driver '91, if that helps you any.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Is the Demonstar a drop to the knees or a sit out? Because that is two entirely different moves?
Toxxic Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 The Demonstar is sit-out. So, it's like the setup for a TD '91, but you sit out. I know it's two different moves, but the TD '91 is something I thought Blank might be familiar with, so it'd be better to work from there. I'm telling you, I had this discussion with Kibs when we feuded. It's SIT-OUT.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Flesher said it was a drop to the knees. A Jay-Driller is a sitout. So thus, the Jay-Driller = Demonstar Driver.
Bruce Blank Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 LOL I've started the dreaded "sit out" Vs "drop to the knees" debate that's dragged so many countries into war
King Cucaracha Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 So, if it's a Tiger Driver set-up and a sitout, it's basically a double underhook piledriver?
Edwin MacPhisto Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 More or less. I remember one of Kibs' points of emphasis being how insanely-dead-ass-vertical the victim was. The emphasis was on your neck getting fuckin' broken. Memorieeeees...
Toxxic Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Maybe Dace was closer on the money when he described it as a sheer-drop double-underhook sit-out powerbomb. As in, there's no scissoring of the head to protect you from the mat, you're just driven straight down into it.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Its a double underhook piledriver. Lets just leave it at that.
Toxxic Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 But how can you leave it unless we describe the move EXACTLY, in a way that there can be no POSSIBLE misinterpretation of it!? Dammit Spike, you're just not taking this fictional wrestling stuff seriously enough!!
janusd Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Don't make me screwdriver you off the turnbuckle Toxx! It's not like someone can kick out of that!
Ace309 Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Hm. I stand corrected. I could have sworn I remembered the emphasis being on the knee-drop to demonstrate it being unprotected.
Toxxic Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Don't make me screwdriver you off the turnbuckle Toxx! It's not like someone can kick out of that! Bah. Of course not. Why, if someone kicked out that that it would make them... ...Notorious?
Smartly Pretty Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 I feel stupid. La Majistral? I thought it was just a cradle, but some move descriptions with modifications of it sorta have me confused.
King Cucaracha Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 La Majistral is basically an Oklahoma Roll, but you wrap around the arm kinda like you would a spinning toehold and you end up with your near leg over their far arm. I suck at descriptives, see.
JJ Johnson Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Don't worry, Toxx. If Janus tries the Screwdriver, I'll distract him, then no-sell his frogsplash and powerbomb him.
Guest step up, ghetto blaster. Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 More or less. I remember one of Kibs' points of emphasis being how insanely-dead-ass-vertical the victim was. The emphasis was on your neck getting fuckin' broken. Memorieeeees... good god-damn times.
Toxxic Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 J3 you are evil. As for our latest arrival, it looks like Kibs and it smells like Kibs...
Bruce Blank Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 I feel stupid. La Majistral? I thought it was just a cradle, but some move descriptions with modifications of it sorta have me confused. http://www.yucubetoo.com/moves16.html Move 393 should give you the gist of it - A Villaño speciality
muzz Posted February 28, 2006 Report Posted February 28, 2006 http://pixmixer.com/uploads/images/2006012...obby-Quance.gif http://pixmixer.com/uploads/images/2006012...nknown-move.gif Anyone?
Toxxic Posted February 28, 2006 Report Posted February 28, 2006 Well, the second one is pretty much an inverted Angle Slam, isn't it. The first one... fuck knows.
JJ Johnson Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 First is Michael Modest's "California Roll". I realize that doesn't help. 2nd is not in any way a Judgement Slam, but I really don't remember what it's called.
super_tigris Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 Yeah, the second isn't anything really close to a Judgement Slam. That first one is hella awesome, by the way. Uploading those to my Photobucket IMMEDIATLY. The second one appears to be an inverse version of the Angle Slam, but who cares what the name is, really. Just say 'Inverse Angle Slam'.
Angel_Grace_Blue Posted April 29, 2006 Author Report Posted April 29, 2006 McBump! Not sure why, but JJ was all "Drea, bump that thread" in chat. And, dude, like, the peer pressure. PEER PRESSURE! UNDER PRESSURE! UNDER PRESSURE! NOT ICE, ICE, BABY! HELL NO! NOT ICE, ICE, BABY! UNDER PRESSURE!
JJ Johnson Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 I had this bumped because if the Buffalo Sleeper is confusing, surely there are other moves of mine that you wacky kids don't get. Ask away.
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Okay, fine: What's an Exploder '98? Actually, I don't usually have this problem, as any move that I can't visualize, I just don't use... but I wanted to use the Buffalo Sleeper.
JJ Johnson Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Parts one, two, and three. Add a pumphandle, add a sheer drop.
Angel_Grace_Blue Posted April 29, 2006 Author Report Posted April 29, 2006 That reminds me of a bad pun that I'm probably garbling (And is much better when spoken). If a centipede a bucketful, how much would a precipice? A sheer drop.
