Special K 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2005 My team: 8-3, highest scoring team in the league by a good margin. Leans a bit towards yardage, which I likey. 1st Pick (9 spot): Randy Moss. Had a nice start. Got hurt. It's only going to get worse if Collins gets fired. 2nd pick: Rudi Johnson. Booming now. Too bad a traded him and Moss for Tiki. At least Tiki's doing very nicely. He's rated 5th overall in my league. 3rd Pick: LaMont Jordan. Having a really nice year. Rated 6th overall in my league. 4th: Cedric Benson Unhappy with this pick when I made it. Traded him for Larry Johnson before the season started. Trade was almost vetoed because everyone thought I was getting robbed. Dumbasses. 5: Carson Palmer Had a really good feeling about him and picked him before Bulger, Brady or Favre. He has obviously panned out. #4 overall player in my league. 6: Anquan Boldin Having a very good year. Traded him for Marvin Harrison, who's having a better year. (but is older, and I ain't keeping either) Then it's a blur. But for my 3rd-6th picks I essentially got Lamont Jordan Larry Johnson Carson Palmer Marvin Harrison Rated 5, 5 (and moving up!), 1, and 4 in their positions respectively. Not shabby at all. There's been so many fucking busts/injured players this season. Randy Moss McNabb Culpepper McGahee Jamal Lewis C-Mart (not his fault) Deuce T. O. Bulger Favre Andre Johnson Priest Javon Walker
nogoodnick 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2005 I dropped Larry Johnson the week before he exploded.
Stephen Joseph 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2005 you DROPPED LJ? Okay, that's gotta be the dumbest Fantasy Football move ever...
Special K 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2005 Seriously. He was like the #14 RB in my league at his lowest point. Who just gives that up?
Stephen Joseph 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2005 He's been as productive as McGahee?! As a backup he was better than quite possibly half of the starters!
Cartman 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 Well my best FF team this year is 8-5 and tied with 3 other teams for 1st place going into the last week of the regular season. One team is 7-6 and the rest are eliminated. Gonna be an interesting week to see who drops out (if any). My team i believe has to have the best shot at winning this league unless players get benched... QB Carson Palmer RB Shaun Alexander RB Gado/Parker/Brown WR Boldin WR R. Smith WR L. Evans/M. Robertson TE Gates K Kasay D Bears Going by this week's Rotoworld.com rankings thats the #1 overall QB, RB, TE, and D Not to mention boldin is #4 WR as well. Special K 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2005 Phew. Larry Johnson and Marvin Harrison absolutely saved me from Carson and LaMont's stinkers. After game one of the Super Bowl, I am up 33 points. Not too shabby! LaMont Jordan just lost all his fantasy value unless Oakland can manage to find a decent QB over the offseason. That offense is ruined with Tui at the helm. Boon 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2005 I've been offered a trade here, and I don't know what to do. I have Marvin Harrison and Larry Johnson. I also have Steve Smith, but no other notable RB (Deshaun Foster, Stephen Davis). I also have no good TE (Heath Miller). I am in first place of my league (no playoffs). I have been offered Antonio Gates, Warrick Dunn, Steven Jackson and either Plaxico Burress/Randy Moss for Larry Johnson and Marvin Harrison. This would leave me w/ Jackson and Dunn at RB, Smith and Burress or Moss at WR and Gates at TE. Should I?
mike546 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2005 Jackson has done shit latley, and Plaxico hasn't been doing nearly as much as he was early in the season thanks to the Giants giving Tiki the ball a shitload. I wouldn't do it.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2005 I really lucked out that no one in the TSM league picked up Curtis Martin's backup Cedric Houston before I did given that Jamal is probably out this week. Plus, I droped Kevin Curtis..helped me out a huge bit through that rough stretch where I had byes and injuries, but he's useless now. 19 yards in his last 2 games. I also really lucked out this week as it was against HHH who didnt even tally 40 points, although with Vick's performance tonight I should be close to 100 points..but next week is going to be tough vs Preseason Holdouts. Manning, Wayne and Holt. Ouch. It looks like Round 2 of the Playoffs will be #2 Nuclear Piledrivers vs #6 Preseason Holdouts #1 Foreign Objects (won by only 4 points) vs #5 Agent Bond If FO's had lost, all the other top seeds would have been upset..except me..but Dunn came up short on the points Showmetheholdout needed to win.. razazteca 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2005 If 10 yards = 1 point then I might of stole the win by 1 and a fraction points. Looks like Agent Bond might win the league....Larry Johnson is unstoppable.

Special K 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 And Larry Johnson never has a bad game, no matter who he faces. And, especially in a keeper league (don't know if you're in one) It's always better to have one stud than two solid players. With Larry Johnson you can always supplement him with someone off the wire, or someone who gets 60 yds, and probably have as good or better a game than your opponent, unless he has LaDanian or Shaun. And unfortunately, as talented as he is, Moss is banged up, and wasn't producing with Collins at the helm. With any other Raiders QB, he isn't even worth starting. Special K 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 Ok, as Usual I'm starting Carson Palmer, Larry Johnson and Tiki Barber. At WR1 I have Marvin Harrison. Go Marv! The trouble comes at WR2. I have: ANtonio Bryant, Browns @Raiders. Joe Jurevicius, Seahawks @ Tennessee. and Chris Henry, Bengals @ Detroit. Normally I'd start Jurevicius, being a 'Hawks fan, and he's been doing very well for me. HOWEVER, D-Jax is back, and I'm sure Hasselbeck is going to try to get him the ball this week. However, he's still viable. Which of these three should I start?
Special K 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2005 help!
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted December 15, 2005 I'd go with Joe Jurevicius It's Jackson's first week back, so he'll be rusty and probably limited. I'd say it's one more week before Jackson is fully back. Bryant will get alot of looks, but Frye leans on his TE's alot. Frye has been solid in his first two starts, but since he's a rookie he's probably due for some struggles.

Stephen Joseph 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2005 I started LJ (duh) and started Tiki rather than Edge. Damn. Too bad Burress didn't do shit, but well, I'm up 73-5 right now with his best guys being Warner, Gado, and Moats. I'm feeling pretty damn good. If I am up 50 after the 1 o clock games finish, I'ts a near virtual lock
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 Im down 14 points with Donald Driver vs Green Bay's defense and so far Drivers been shutout but the Ravens are helping with 14 points which is only +1 point. I should have started Jamal too, but it was too risky.

Stephen Joseph 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 So who's still in their playoffs? I made it through 152-91 in the semis of my pay league. Amazingly the #1 and #2 teams survived the playoffs to face each other, and I'm looking dominant if LT comes back healthy. I'm currently debated whether to start a 3 quarters Edge or an unhealthy LT for the finals. LJ and Tiki are locks.
C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2005 I've made it into my league finals. Since I was set at WR and QB for the week, I dropped all backups to find a desparation RB fix. I have Rueben Droughns, Tomilinson, Micheal Turner, Tony Fisher, Frank Gore and the backup for the Texans. Anyone know where to find updates on Tomlinson? cbs.sportsline has not been informative. I have Rueben Droughns, Tomilinson, Micheal Turner, Tony Fisher, Frank Gore and the backup for the Texans. Anyone know where to find updates on Tomlinson? cbs.sportsline has not been informative. \ Tomlinson is fine. He practiced yesterday and today. Lingering injuries. I'll bet on Tomlinson over any else on that list even if he's 70%. They're playing for something. Out of that list, Tomlinson, then Droughns or Gore (Matchup). Droughns faces Pitt this week. The other two I wouldn't even bother with. I'm out of TSM's fantasy league, but am in a rotisserie league outside of TSM. Here is my situation of "who should I start"... WR/RB option.. Willis McGahee or Kevin Jones and for defense... Washington or Philadelphia OUCH OUCH OUCH! Pick up Moats, Gore, or somebody and play them instead of those two. Those are sorry ass backs...gotta be someone available on the FA list...especially Gore, who has a good matchup against the Rams and performed well last week. And Washington, hands down. jwpeer 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2005 Play Kevin Jones because Buffalo plays Cinci (Which is still fighting for first-round bye) while Detroit is playing a BAD New Orleans team with a BAD run defense. I'd play the Washington defense just on account of the fact they're in a playoff race and philadelphia isn't. Furthermore I can see the Redskins giving some trouble to the onconsistent Giants offense.
Stephen Joseph 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2005 (edited) Matchups only have value when the player is good enough to exploit them. Kevin Jones is not good enough to exploit and he has done nothing to earn a spot. Therefore, don't play Kevin Jones. Unless you can't find a Moats or Gore who have shown that they CAN exploit a matchup. And inconsistent Giants offense? Umm...okay? Edited December 21, 2005 by Stephen Joseph
C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2005 If the league is at all serious, there's no way that Moats will be available. Wells for Texas would be an okay emergency pick-up if Davis doesn't go and Gore isn't out there IMO.
