You'll have a blast. I'm going to a ROH show next year, hopefully, Wrestlemania weekend in Chicago. Can't wait.

I was supposed to go to the show in Cleveland but my buddy backed out when he realized he had to pay $20-25ish to see a bunch of "nobodies." I think he's just mad cause I won't go to any more WWE shows.

You can pretty much pencil in Dragon Vs Styles for the title, which is a pretty marquee match up.

If you like quality wrestling performed at it's best with no limitations and a super-hot crowd, you'll have a great time. Chicago is arguably the best crowd on the ROH circuit and ROH usually goes all out for Chicago.

The eight man war by all indications should be a chaotic brawl, because the first two versions (8/12 and 10/15) were all out wars and that match is setting up WarGames in December. So expect craziness.

You will have fun.

I've been to 6 Ring of Honor shows and they get better and better. I've been to over 100 shows from WWE, WCW and ECW including a few PPV's, none of those could touch the ROH shows.

I don't think ROH has put on anything but good/great shows in Chicago so far, and the lineup looks to be shaping up to be another good one. One of the biggest complaints people seem to have with live ROH shows is the crowd, but the assholes tend to stay out east so that shouldn't be a problem either.

I haven't been to any Chicago shows, I'm told that unlike most other venues, GA in Chicago isn't that great.

So try to avoid GA seats.

Sounds like a pretty good first ROH show.

The first ROH show I went to was in Morristown, NJ. The card was awesome, with the exception of the ROH World Title situation (it was the show with James Gibson and Spanky fighting for the title, and Homicide was DQ'ed.). That show nearly was gonna be a WASTE, until the main event, which was Samoa Joe versus Christopher Daniels for the ROH Pure Title.

The second ROH show was the Kobashi show in NYC. AWESOME SHOW. Gotta get that on DVD. It all depends with ROH, in my opinion, it's either hit or miss.

Wrestling live is usually more fun than on tv.

My first RoH show was the Aries v Danielson 2/3 falls match main event back in August 2004. It was a pretty good show.

Looks like I'm going to one this year too.

From San Diego to Edison, New Jersey.

Why?

KENTA. That's why.

(since there's no topics on it, I'll put it here; KENTA and Naomichi Marufuji were announced for Final Battle 2005, on December 17th in Edison, NJ. No opponents yet, but that doesnt matter.)

I imagine that ROH are dead silent with everyone just intently focused on the match at hand. Sometimes there is polite applause to show approval. Beer is not sold.

Beer isn't sold @ that venue from what I've gathered and CM Punk even jokingly refered to it as his "home field advantage". Quiet? It's super vocal. Annoying comments and people trying to get over with the crowd. The "Let's go Wrestler A, Let's Go Wrestler B" chants will be in full force regardless of the heel/face alignments.

They will go into Japanese crowd mode if it's a real technical match. You will think they are "small" since likely dont have much expirence with the indy scene but they work with no limits. Treat yourself to a couple dvds, but I wouldn't go out of my way to any of the actual shows but rather a couple best of's and they have a wide assortment of styles seperated into dvd's
