Spoilers for RAW tonight

Recommended Posts

From Meltzer:

Several returns are expected tonight at TV or tomorrow, somewhat out of the blue (none of which would be the major story if it happens). Mark Henry as a bodyguard for Coach is one of them, but would be the weakest (not in strength obviously but in name value) of the expected returns. Another name expected tonight is Vader. The Christian story will almost surely be addressed, and it's not an angle, at TV tonight because they can't have people going crazy and voting for him and making the company look bad, so they have to address him being off the ballot.

I expect Vader will job to Conway.

This was Meltzer's earlier, very cryptic update.

Today is going to be a very eventful today in the business and the departure of Christian, depending on how things play out, may turn out to be a minor story by the end of the day. Several returns are expected tonight at TV or tomorrow, somewhat out of the blue (none of which would be the major story if it happens).

I don't know why I decided to look in this topic, since I usually hate spoilers. But...

Mother f'n Vader???

Please don't tell me this is just to have him job to Conway or some bullshit like that. Do any of you really want to see Vader, VADER, job to Conway?

Henry's 10-year contract, which he signed 1996, expires next year, so I'd expect this to be his last run with the company.

Vader returning is both out of the blue and just......odd.

If there is a God, and he favored me, RAW would consist of two hours of Vader absolutely mauling everyone to near-death. Complete with beautiful, lovely potatoe shots.

Good work, Dan Quayle.

Vader?@??@

WOWOWOWOWO!!!

This is gonna be killer.

Oh, and a lil bit off topic... Hey, did you guys hear that new song from this new band from England? I think they're called Onasis. No, wait, that can't be right... hmm... I know I'll remember it sometime tonight... anyways, this new song is FANTASTIC. "... and maye... you're gonna be the one that saves me...".

But yeah, Vader, that's gonna rock. Best big man in the world right now.

Paul Orndorff better not be backstage then, or else he'd kick Vader's ass again. Vader was a complete jobber on his last days with WWE. Even frickin' Bradshaw (back when he wasn't even NEAR the ME) beat him clean.

If Conway beats MOTHER FUCKING VADER tonight, there is no God. Vader would not show up for a one night shot to put over Rob Conway. I just can't see that happening.

And I say Mark Henry lifts someone up and tears a pec muscle. It'll be the new quad! There goes Mark Henry.

It's an attempt to get internet geeks to watch the Passion of the McMahon. You know damn well it will be a hook and bait. Nothing good can come from this.

I thought Vader was totally retired anyway. When was the last time he worked anywhere?

While we're talking about Vader, was it part of a storyline or what that time he lost to someone on a PPV, then as he was leaving the ring he said something along the lines of "I'm just a big piece of shit"?

I've read that somewhere (wikipedia)

Mark Henry is gonna be put on the ballot for a title shot at Taboo Tuesday. The return pop he will get tonight should be ASTOUNDING. He may out-pop Austin... it could happen.

Why even bring Mark Henry back? I mean his contract is up next year, so why even do this? Just leave him at home and then next year release his ass. What if by some deal with satan he actually gets over this time and they sign him to a new deal?

Um, just to point out:

Vader's last televised appearence, with TNA, had him looking HORRIBLE.

Just because a guy goes to Japan doesn't mean they're suddenly top workers. Vader was kaput in 98. Don't let the puro marks made you actually believe that guys like Mike Barton, Steve Williams (post 98), Bull Buchanon, A-Train, etc. are actually any good or anything.

_____________

For trivia purposes:

Vader's last WWF apearence was jobbing clean in a short match to low-card/mid-card Edge (!) in fall '98.

That was during his fued with Kane back in 1998

Kane hit Vader in the face with a wrench @ No Way Out 98 to put over Kane as this monster before he wrestled Taker. Vader made a comeback and faced Kane at Over The Edge 98 where Kane beat him again. Then they tried to talk to Vader as he was going to the back. That's where that line came from.

Edit: yep that's it

I didn't see this one coming. I do remember rumours about a Vader action figure not long ago, so I imagine he'll be on TV to 'reintroduce' him to the fans. I'm sure there are still some of the 'Attitude' boom fans they picked up in 1999 that have never even seen him.

Or could Vader's appearance on TV signal some sort of future DVD featuring Vader (a la the Road Warriors DVD and Animal's subsequent winning of the tag titles)? I can't picture Vader getting his own 2-disc set, but I could see him on some sort of compilation DVD, 'Greatest Wrestling Stars of the 90s', or some such.

Wonderwall by Oasis? You're kidding me right, that song is ten years old now.
