Guest You'veGotNOCHANCE Report post Posted November 13, 2005 I've only posted here a couple times, in fact my original post for this thread got lost because I wasn't logged in, lol. I mostly lurk. But I felt like I needed to say something about this. This news saddens me greatly. Eddie was one of the best wrestlers in my opinion, and always made me laugh. Thanks Eddie. Guest tony manero Report post Posted November 13, 2005 This is just the worst news I've ever heard in a long, long time. He was such a good-hearted man, in addition to being an inspiration to millions when he was able to kick his addiction problems and eventually go on to win the WWE World Title. His rise to the top was a testament to how true justice always prevails. I'm priveleged that I at least got to see him accomplish his ultimate goal. I'm very sad that Eddie has passed away so young when he had many more moments and memories left to give the fans. He was undoubtedly the best performer in the company, and the most consistent as well. He was so dearly loved that it was impossible to turn him heel. One can also make the argument that the WWE's top face wrestler passed away today (there have been reports in the last few weeks that Eddie got bigger pops than Batista at Smackdown and house shows). Rest in peace, Eddie; I hope you're surrounded by Angels in Heaven. You were a man of God, a man of pervasive passion, a man who represented an undying fortitude, and a man who left an everlasting mark on our lives and the business. Goodbye, holmes. Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2005 A gun shot to the heart of professional wrestling. Fortunately, the hard work and dedication Eddie had to his passion will mean we will forever have countless fond Guerrero memories and matches to look back on and remember. God speed. Guest Super Pissed Smark Report post Posted November 13, 2005 It's really sad. Not really suprising, but sad. Eddie was so great at so many things. Just sad. Wrestling for Vince must be one of the highest mortality rate professions on the planet.

Aero 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2005 I came online just now, saw the headline on 411, and was in utter shock. I still can't believe it. I never got to see much of his ECW or WCW work, but he was one of my favorites for the past few years in WWE. RIP, Eddie...
Guest Doombiscuit Report post Posted November 13, 2005 Woah terribly, terribly sad. I'm not someone who usually gets over upset when celebritys die but this has really got to me. Eddy was a great talent and will be missed by wrestling fans everywhere. Hopefully the praise he's been recieving across the web will be of some solace to his family, we all wish them the best. Guest Sykotic2002 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 I just got done rewatching Eddie Guerrero's DVD and they talk about how when he got fired from WWE in 2001, it was in Minneapolis where he was really messed up. It's just surreal that it's the same city that he passed away in. God bless Eddie.

Guest hasbeen Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Terrible loss. If I say much more it will turn into a rant about the business and that's not proper on this thread, so I'll skip it. I did get to watch a taped Smackdown and his match with Kennedy, holding his head when the ref looked then smiling at Kennedy, really brought a smile to my face. That's a good last memory, not thoughts of steroids or anything else.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 Despite it being used before, and because I don't know most of the songs mentioned here... I'm picturing an Eddie tribute video in my mind to the song used by WWE before, "Tell Me A Lie" And also a tribute comic (like they've done for celebs before) with Gory and Eddie embracing in the afterlife. RIP Eddie. You lied, cheated, and stole your way into our hearts.

Guest Ransome Report post Posted November 14, 2005 My God. This still hasn't fully set in, but I'm shocked. I don't think wrestling will ever be the same again for me. I've always thought that Eddie Guerrero lived an inspirational life. Particularly in 2001 when he was released from the WWF, yet somehow managed to defeat his demons and work his ass off on the Independent circuit, forcing WWE to notice him again and rehire him in 2002. Just two years later, he was World Champion. I've rewatched that NWO 2004 match countless times, and the embrace at WM XX is still my favourite moment in all the years I've watched wrestling. If anything, I'm grateful that he got that moment, although it doesn't make his early death any less tragic. Thanks for everything, Eddie, RIP.......
