Does anybody remember this?

Recommended Posts

I always enjoyed when he talked about his cat smokey better, but this was still funny.

"The only one who still comes around me is my cat Smokey."

and I believe a year or so later, he said Smokey doesn't even like him anymore.

On a similar note, that video reminded me of when Vince McMahon was starting to have an affair with Trish Stratus and either called or showed up to Raw. Stephanie asked why he was so interested in what was going on and he said, "Why I just wanted to know how everyone was doing. How's The Rock? How's Steve Austin? How's uh........Essa Rios????"

For some reason, it's hilarious when top-level stars degrade the jobbers. One of my favorite Rock lines ever was when he was being interviewed before the 2000 Rumble and said something like "The only two people the Rock is concered with are Crash Holly and... Headbanger Mosh."

Bret really was underrated on the mic, especially when he was a heel. My favorite Hitman heel promo was when he ripped on Philadephia.

God, yes!

"Wait a minute, why is everybody looking at me? Why are you looking at me? Hold on a second! Why aren't you looking at Essa Rios? Why can't it be him? Huh? Why not Essa? I mean, everybody knows it's ALWAYS the quiet ones, and who knows - maybe Stone Cold Steve Austin stole his green card, I don't know." - Kurt Angle

Haha That was great, Bre was really underrated at promos, never felt scripted just a real guy saying straight what was on his mind- I like guys who could do promos like that in fact every current WWE star should be forced to take a promo class with Ted Dibiase & Arn Anderson in getting the crowd riled up and making a point on the mic.

All I can think of is the enema thing, and that was Pittsburgh, wasn't it?

I always liked: "Know why they call you Stone Cold? Your stones are so cold, you won't come out here and face me!"

I like how Okerlund tries to make Bret's suggestions seem terrible without actually admitting that El Dandy and Psicosis were jobbers. He even admitted El Dandy was a great wrestler! Man, if only El Dandy was 50 pounds bigger, eh Gene?

And speaking of the Austin/Hart feud. My favorite from Austin was "You put a S in front of Hitman and that's what I think of him." I think that's how it went.
