LaParkaYourCar Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Who are you to doubt El Dandy!? "Who are you to doubt El Dandy!?" "This is a groin pull the likes you've never seen in your life!" When did this happen? It's freakin hilarious!
Just John Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 My guess is mid to late 98. Although I'm not sure when he actually turned heel in that time period, that seems about right.
Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Hypnosis is my favourite Mexicool.
Lil' Bitch Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 I'm pretty sure that happened somewhere in August of 98.
Dandy Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 I always enjoyed when he talked about his cat smokey better, but this was still funny. "The only one who still comes around me is my cat Smokey." and I believe a year or so later, he said Smokey doesn't even like him anymore. On a similar note, that video reminded me of when Vince McMahon was starting to have an affair with Trish Stratus and either called or showed up to Raw. Stephanie asked why he was so interested in what was going on and he said, "Why I just wanted to know how everyone was doing. How's The Rock? How's Steve Austin? How's uh........Essa Rios????"
eiker_ir Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 very Rock-ish promo by Bret, love the "oooooh..." at the end lol
Just John Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 For some reason, it's hilarious when top-level stars degrade the jobbers. One of my favorite Rock lines ever was when he was being interviewed before the 2000 Rumble and said something like "The only two people the Rock is concered with are Crash Holly and... Headbanger Mosh."
Guest JMA Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Bret really was underrated on the mic, especially when he was a heel. My favorite Hitman heel promo was when he ripped on Philadephia.

Huh? Why not Essa? I mean, everybody knows it's ALWAYS the quiet ones, and who knows - maybe Stone Cold Steve Austin stole his green card, I don't know." - Kurt Angle
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Does anyone have the Smokey interviews?
MillenniumMan831 Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 That promo was fuckin gold . . . especially after I braced myself for a 'so bad it's good' interview. Okerlund: Malenko is suffering from a strained ankle. Hart: Yeah . . . ooooooh.
LaParkaYourCar Posted November 30, 2005 Author Report Posted November 30, 2005 I'm said it cut off. I wanted to know what Gene thought about that groin pull. "He's a high flyer of the highest magnitude" that Hypnosis!
DMann2003 Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Haha That was great, Bre was really underrated at promos, never felt scripted just a real guy saying straight what was on his mind- I like guys who could do promos like that in fact every current WWE star should be forced to take a promo class with Ted Dibiase & Arn Anderson in getting the crowd riled up and making a point on the mic.
CanadianGuitarist Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Bret really was underrated on the mic, especially when he was a heel. My favorite Hitman heel promo was when he ripped on Philadephia. ? All I can think of is the enema thing, and that was Pittsburgh, wasn't it? I always liked: "Know why they call you Stone Cold? Your stones are so cold, you won't come out here and face me!"

snuffbox Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Good shit. That shoulda been on the dvds...

King Cucaracha Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 I like how Okerlund tries to make Bret's suggestions seem terrible without actually admitting that El Dandy and Psicosis were jobbers. He even admitted El Dandy was a great wrestler! Man, if only El Dandy was 50 pounds bigger, eh Gene?

I think that's how it went.
