Zack Malibu Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 OH CANADA~! Easily the best Styles they've done yet, and look, they come with DVD of their Turning Point match! Kind of appropriate that this version of Christian Cage will come with the Lockdown Cage Ring. He even looks stoned as a figure. Another Joe, along with the Cowboy. These aren't all the images, but just some of the better ones I figured I'd post. Also shown were some prototypes of Kip James, Lance Hoyt, and Kevin Nash, amongst others. Credit for these images goes to WrestlingFigs.com.
Zack Malibu Posted February 14, 2006 Author Report Posted February 14, 2006 I hope to God those are just prototypes, because Kip and Hoyt look terrible. You know Carnival is buying this one up!
Guest El Satanico Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 If not for the TNA logo on the Sting package, I'd swear that someone found a case of WCW leftovers in some warehouse. They need a bloody towel variant of Samoa Joe, and a Joe/AJ/Daniels three pack.
Guest Coffey Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Well, I like the Abyss figure. The Rhyno looks decent too. The Samoa Joe toys are terrible though. Since when is Joe cut and jacked up!?
Guest El Satanico Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Well, they are toys, not scale replicas. Wrestling figures have never had accurate bodies.
Zack Malibu Posted February 14, 2006 Author Report Posted February 14, 2006 No kidding. Those are the only times William Regal has ever had abs!
daileyxplanet Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Well, Toy-Biz made the WCW figures, it could easily be...
2GOLD Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Some of them look incredibly accurate and lifelike while others you go, "huh? Who's that?" For the most part, those are impressive.
Si82 Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Most of those figures don't look bad. I like the idea of giving a match DVD with the twin-packs.
Darthtiki Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Jeff Hardy looks like a redux of the early Lita figures.
Ced Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 I saw the Jeff Jarrett figure at KB Toys. Almost picked it up, and solely for the figure-sized NWA belt packaged with it.
Art Sandusky Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Well, they are toys, not scale replicas. Wrestling figures have never had accurate bodies. I thought the old late 80s/early 90s WWF figures were the best ever because they were actually pretty close to the figure of each guy.
BUTT Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Is it just me or is this ring really small?
haws bah gawd Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 I have a 6-figure boxset called The Evolution of Sting that contains this very figure.
Spaceman Spiff Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 Even the Nash action figure is lazy. It comes w/ a chair so he can sit down.
The Buzz Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 TNA Toyfair Pics that's not even the real sting figure for that set, that's why it looks like that. Click the link for the two new sting figures.
Scroby Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 I WANT THE MASKED SHARKBOY FIGURE! Sorry but thats awesome.
King Cucaracha Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 I'm assuming size-wise these are the same scale as the WCW figures (Aside from the Sting one, which is blatantly the same as the WCW Sting one), Zack? I've already got an Abyss, but I've held out on any X-Division ones so far incase they're ridiculously tall/big.
Zack Malibu Posted February 15, 2006 Author Report Posted February 15, 2006 Same size as the WCW '98-2000 Toy Biz figures.
2GOLD Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 God man, it would be awesome if it came with a Shark Boy mask. If it does, I'm sold. Christ man, action figures look so much cooler now that I'm older. Fuck it, I'm buying them and acting like a 12 year old. Monty Brown against JUGGERNAUT!!
SuperJerk Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 Now I can dress up like Shane Douglas for Halloween and have something to throw down.
Scroby Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 God man, it would be awesome if it came with a Shark Boy mask. If it does, I'm sold. Christ man, action figures look so much cooler now that I'm older. Fuck it, I'm buying them and acting like a 12 year old. Monty Brown against JUGGERNAUT!! Oh but it does come with the mask. Its apart of that mask fury line, like the sting one.
NoCalMike Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 I want the belt, along with an ECW replica, couple those with my video camera and we shall be witnessing the birth of Extreme Championship Wrestling -=NoCalMikeREDUX style.
King Cucaracha Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 Same size as the WCW '98-2000 Toy Biz figures. Cool. The Chris Sabin one I saw w/X-Division Title belt looked a really odd build, but you can't tell with pictures sometimes.
Scroby Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 I want the belt, along with an ECW replica, couple those with my video camera and we shall be witnessing the birth of Extreme Championship Wrestling -=NoCalMikeREDUX style. Why does this worry me?
