And technically, WWE advertised the Mexicools as getting a WWE Tag Title shot at Armageddon.

 

And also, they advertised Eddie Guerrero as part of Survivor Series.

 

And also, they advertised Steve Austin as part of Taboo Tuesday.

-made him Mark Henry's bitch in the World Title battle royal

-losing to a former champion that could have given him a decent rub

 

-let him speak

And what RUB would Lashley get from JBL? JBL just got squashed in a MINUTE by a rookie on a Big 4 PPV. If anything, they were salvaging JBL's career, as he's much more important to their uppercard, IMO.
