A bit oversinging, but overall very good; certainly earning her spot. The last few notes were especially good.

Mandisa, as far as the singing has really set herself apart. Kellie gets by on personality and McPhee via looks. Kevin gets by with his gimmick.

Wow, Mandisa might just be able to blast it out of the park each week. It didn't do anything for me, but it was still one of the best performances thus far in the season. It's nothing I would buy or stop to listen to on the radio, but for a performance show, infront of an audience, it certainly got the job done.

Why does it seem he's getting the most obscure camera angles, flashiest lights, etc? ...Or maybe I just like bloo lights so much...

 

Subdued performance, which makes it all the more powerful, I think. You're waiting for that big note...

Well that was pretty darn good.

 

The ending was tremendous, the first part had me goin "Hey, what ever happened to Live?"

 

Isn't this what the dude did on that INXS show? Continually change the song and adapt it for himself?

the thing is, Hawk, at least he made it his own, which these judges constantly preach...his own wasn't that good, but hey, at least he heeds their advice.
