iliketurtles 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2006 I think a lot of people think WWE pays it's undercard a lot more than they what they really do. In 2000-1, when business was a lot hotter than it is now, at least one undercard guy had to take a second job to make ends meet. Undercard guys make shit. I remember Crash Holly having to be a bouncer on the side to make enough money.

buffybeast 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2006 Back during the height of the war with WCW, undercard guys were making six figures easy. Now, I do believe the entry level salary for WWE is about $50-75k per annum. That's just ok money in my hometown (Washington, DC). Factor in the rental bills, hotel, food, supplements, etc those guys don't make squat. Sure, they can write it off on their taxes. But up front they don't make a lot. haVoc 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2006 That's their down side. They get paid by every house show, TV and PPV card they wrestle on. If they're lucky they have shirts and other merchandise they get a cut of. I believe the women also get a nice pay day for the magazines they sell as well. They blow their money like anyone else. A lot of times it's their own fault.

GODSON 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2006 People forget that these guys are famous. They can't live in a regular neighborhoods with their fame. They can't be seen driving around in a mess up car. Wrestlers should get paid like all the other top sports athletes. These guys are watch by millions everyweek and work harder. It don't make no damn sense that they making this amounts of dollars. A lot of times it's their own fault. Exactly. They're guaranteed AT LEAST a certain amount of money in their contract, but have to potential to make much more based on merchandise and ticket sales. At let's not also forget that travel expenses are tax deductible. People forget that these guys are famous. They can't live in a regular neighborhoods with their fame. When Vince starts getting multi billion dollar contracts to air WWE TV, then the wrestlers can get paid on par with top athletes.

My friend lives in the same apartment complex as a bunch of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ... if pro football players can slum it enough to live in an apartment complex, so can pro wrestlers. USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2006 Which Bucs, nL? And yeah, just because someone is famous/well-known (and really, a PRO WRESTLER being famous is a bit of stretch) doesn't mean they are rich enough to lived in gated communities where they can have a posh lifestyle. Yes, they can live in "regular" neighborhoods and drive "regular" cars because the average American doesn't know or care who Gregory Helms or Shelton Benjamin is. And yeah, just because someone is famous/well-known (and really, a PRO WRESTLER being famous is a bit of stretch) doesn't mean they are rich enough to lived in gated communities where they can have a posh lifestyle. I'll have to ask her, Porter ... she's not a football fan, and only knows that they're Bucs because the other girls at the pool were all excited when the guys came down. She's met them in passing, and see them at the pool & gym at their complex. What type of apartment complex are we talking? There's a big difference between a $350 studio and $1800+ loft. It's a gated community, she lives in the 'low end' price section and pays about $800.00 for a 2 BR apartment. The ballers live in a nicer section, so probably pay $1000 or so, probably a little more. Not a whole lot of money though.

NYU 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2006 In a few months, I'm sure they're going to have another Dance-Off, like the one they had with the first Dancing with the Stars, to determine who was really the best dancer: Stacy or Drew. She just had too many bitter housewives against her to really succeed though. Either way, yeah, she's done with WWE.

They undeservedly kept giving her the best judges scores which ensured she would stay unless she got the least amount of votes from the public. She finally ran out of luck today. I honestly wouldn't know since I haven't seen more than a few minutes of a couple of episodes.
