Actually, is there any point to Bob Backlund being in TNA? I know he gets a lot of love on the board, and I like the guy too, but he's not doing anything. Yeah, I don't really get the point of Bob Backlund after WrestleMania XI. I love the guy but he's really just been a rambling, old guy that wasn't there for anything more than comic relief for the past 10-11 years. That was such a surreal era for me as a wrestling fan. I was hoping WCW would bounce back as its "own" promotion despite the buyout. So many expectations, so much letdown. It was weird to hear them refer to the Thunder and Nitro season finales when it ended up being the series finales for the shows. I actually was flooded out when that match originally aired and had never seen it all the way through until just now....10 years later almost to the day. Flair used to cut such great promos, it's so sad what a joke he is on Raw now. I also forgot how insanely great the Brain was. His grovelling after slapping Perfect, flipping out on commentary.
