From what I heard from people who rewatched the play, it appeared that it was a freak play where Krauser's thumb got caught in his eye near his nose. The eye did not "pop out" as Sportscenter initially implied, but it did appear to protude out some. I couldn't stop thinking about it all night. I personally would've hated to be either Ray or Krauser. I didn't get to see most of the game, but from all accounts, Krauser looked completely shaked up the rest of the night. Well today is Championship Saturday, with a grand total of 11 Conference Championships to be decided, and the 5 other conferences having their semi-final games. Championship Game wise we have American East MEAC MAC Atlantic 10 WAC Big West Mountain West SWAC Pac 10 C-USA And the main event of Championship Week. The Big East Championship Game. With FSU tanking themselves out of the tournament, DSU is about the last chance I have for a team I remotely care about making the tournament. They have no shot in hell of escaping the first round but it'll be fun to watch. Course if they hit their lay-ups, they might pull an upset unless they draw UCONN or something. And this is certainly the most difficult year for figuring out who's making the tourney. There's at least 15 teams on the bubble that everyone is disagreeing on. It will certainly be interesting. jimmy no nose 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2006 Just to clear some things up on the eye situation, it didn't actually fall off or anything, just came out of the socket. It's nearly impossible for an eye to just fall off without being ripped out or something, since there are nerve connections and many other things holding it in. Coming out of the socket isn't that big a deal, just very painful for a little while. It's probably one of the least severe injuries you can have to the eye in terms of vision loss and what not. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2006 In the throw your hands up in confusion world, Florida State may actually still slip in because Michigan lost and no one seems to think Hofstra belongs in the tournament. WHY they don't belong, I haven't a clue. It seems the odds of a team finishes above .500 in the ACC and not getting a bid are slim although I still see FSU out of the tournament. Some are even claiming the Wake win over NC State helped the Noles...yeah, I don't get it either. And apparently Creighton and George Mason are favorites to be part of the "good luck in the NIT" crowd of screwed out of bids. They're 29-4 and they were undefeated in conference and won the conference tournament. And they beat the defending national champions 3 times! And Courtney Paris is a monster. She's bigger than me! It's a total crapshoot I'd say Duke, Carolina, B.C. , Texas, UCLA, Nova, Cuse, Uconn, Pitt, Ohio State, LSU are my favorites. (Dependant on Gray, of course.) My Realistic Final 4 is. UConn, Duke, Villanova and Memphis. Other scenarios include UNC GW (Don't Laugh) Memphis Ohio State LSU (They're the only SEC Team with any shot.)
