Guest Princess Leena Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 A&M was maybe in if they lost, definitely in now. Colorado is most likely out.
jwpeer Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 McNamara is smoking hot in the 2nd half from 3pt range.
naiwf Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 This has been an amazing tourney for the 'Cuse. They get their first lead of the game within the last 10 seconds, and McNamara hits ANOTHER huge 3. Amazing.
jwpeer Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 There is nothing overrated about Gerry f'in McNamara. He is clutch like nobody else in College BBall. No one. Just f'in clutch. I salute you G-Mac.
iggymcfly Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 I've got such a huge man-crush on Gerry McNamara. I'd have his babies if it ws physically possible.
CanadianChris Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 The fanboy in me says Syracuse is going to win the whole thing. Then I come to my senses and realize there's no way this team is beating UConn AND Villanova in a three-day span.
jwpeer Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 The fanboy in me says Syracuse is going to win the whole thing. Then I come to my senses and realize there's no way this team is beating UConn AND Villanova in a three-day span. But how is 'Nova going to beat Pitt. They aren't
MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Am I the only one that doesn't think that a MD win over BC gets them in? I think they at least have to win tonight and beat NC tomorrow, which I dont think they can do.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 17-2 BC 5 minutes in.. so much for the Terps.
AboveAverage484 Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 It may just be me, but if a bubble team loses in the quarterfinals of their conference tourney they should NOT be in the big dance.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Its pretty bad that I want this game to get over in a hurry so I can watch Smackdown..man...this is just an asskicking.
jwpeer Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 That injury for Ray looks -really- bad. Such a freaky thing too, him ducking low right into krausers finger/hand, that's horrible, just the worst circumstances to occur
UZI Suicide Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 That was without a doubt the SICKEST thing I've ever seen. UGHH...Just...ugh.
CanadianChris Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 The fanboy in me says Syracuse is going to win the whole thing. Then I come to my senses and realize there's no way this team is beating UConn AND Villanova in a three-day span. But how is 'Nova going to beat Pitt. They aren't Well, not after losing Ray like that. A successful Big East title defence would certainly take the sting out of a likely first-round NCAA tournament exit.
jwpeer Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Gonna be a good game tomorrow, but I hope Ray is ok. That's just the worst.. You can tell Krauser's head wasn't really in the game after that either...I would feel f'in devastated if I'd known I f'ed someone up like that (I've accidentally hurt someone really bad before when goofing around as a kid, a friend's face smacked into a loose nail and he had to go to the hospital it almost hurt his eye) Can't imagine how the people actually there feel...ugh.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 They said his freaking eye fell out? JAYSUS. So glad I wasn't watching.
naiwf Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 They said his freaking eye fell out? JAYSUS. So glad I wasn't watching. What he said. That's just not something you expect to hear while listening to SportsCenter highlights. Ugh.
jwpeer Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Ugh. Glad I wasn't watching sportscenter. i remember seeing it in slow-motion though, and now knowing what that big white splotch was is gonna haunt me. Just terrible.
naiwf Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Thankfully they didn't show the incident on SC. (I refuse to call it a "highlight") Not a good day for 'Nova or its fans.
jwpeer Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Not just nova fans, I'd say any Big East/CBB fans. That's such a FREAK thing to happen, but it's gonna add a sense of fear to ANY basketball game... Makes you wonder why all players don't wear the face-mask like Rip does...just to protect your eyes.
naiwf Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 They just reported an update from his grandfather and apparently he's "alright" and the injury doesn't look serious. I hope that report is accurate for his sake.
SilverPhoenix Posted March 11, 2006 Author Report Posted March 11, 2006 It may just be me, but if a bubble team loses in the quarterfinals of their conference tourney they should NOT be in the big dance. Don't worry, Maryland IS going to the NIT. If they don't, you can snipe the committee at will.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Since no one talks about any team out West (other than Gonzaga) All I got to say is don't sleep on UCLA, this team is tough and great defensively. They are getting healthy at the right time and I wouldn't be surprised if they won the whole thing.
Guest Princess Leena Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 So, Ray's eye fell out and splattered to the ground? Holy fuck... glad this game was a Friday night. And how the hell did he regain vision in that eye already?
Bored Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Cal/Oregon going to double overtime. Pleasssssssssssssssse Oregon wins this. I do not want to be stuck watching a Cal game next Thursday or Friday. ESPN, CollegeRPI.com, and CBS Sportsline all had Cal projected as getting in coming into today although that may have all been under the assumption they'd beat RPI #144 Oregon.
SilverPhoenix Posted March 11, 2006 Author Report Posted March 11, 2006 Fuck!! Oregon is down by 6. We need them to win this to eliminate the Golden Farce!! Otherwise Hofstra IS probably going to get screwed.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Woah Woah Woah WOAH.... a guy LOST his eye? And now they're saying he's gonna play again by sometime next week? What the FUCK?!
Bored Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Well god dammit. Now I just hope Cal gets an early Thursday game so they can be eliminated quickly.
Damaramu Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Any video of him losing his eye? In other news OU lost to Nebraska. They will exit the first round quickly sez I. I really hate talking to Sampson about this team b/c rather than tell us what is wrong with them he just makes excuses and gets angry at us for not "giving the sooners the credit they deserve"! What credit? You won your last four games against mostly inferior competition by a grand total of 4 points and then you got blown out by Texas and lost AGAIN to a team that shouldn't be able to hold your jock. You get minus credit for that Mr. Sampson.
