C&P'ed from elsewhere:

The semifinals that make the most sense to me...

Bisping/Forbes & Hamill/Haynes for the lightheavyweights. There are several reasons Bisping has to murder Forbes:

- They've already built it up slightly (Bispings extreme dislike of Jesse, plus taunts and anger at him being brought back)

- The finals would look slightly worse if they included someone who had previously lost to a guy widely perceived to be a pussy-whipped bitch

- Hamill/Bisping has been built up since the beginning of the season for the finale, and Haynes presents less of a danger to Matt than the bigger, stronger, more athletic & better wrestler Jesse.

For the middleweights, Starne/Singer & Grove/Herman. The way I see it, whomever faces Kalib loses, and whomever faces Rory wins. By this logic, the only toss-up match would seem to be Kendall against the seemingly rusty Ed. Of course, if Ed is ready to be the badass he thinks he is, he should take out Kendall and set up the final against Starne that everyone predicted at the beignning of the season.

The way I see all the possible semis going:

Bisping/Hamill: Bisping via KO, Rd.1

Bisping/Forbes: Bisping via submission, Rd.1

Bisping/Haynes: Bisping via KO, Rd.1

Hamill/Forbes: Forbes via Unanimous JD

Hamill/Haynes: Hamill via Unanimous JD

Forbes/Haynes: Forbes via TKO, Rd.2

Starne/Herman: Starne via submission, Rd.2

Starne/Grove: Starne via TKO, Rd.2

Starne/Singer: Starne via submission, Rd.1

Herman/Grove: Grove via Unanimous JD

Herman/Singer: Herman via Unanimous JD

Grove/Singer: Grove via Unanimous JD

I was making comparisons between Forbes & Haynes when i said stronger, etc.

However, I do think Jesse has taken to MMA more naturally than Hamill has, and he can throw a decent punch standing or from up top. His weak bottom game and lack of submission skills are likely to be taken advantage of by Hamill, who lacks the G&P or submissions to do so. I could see Jesse pushing the pace and landing the cleaner shots in between getting taken down by Matt en route to a JD.

Oh, shit. Kalib dominates early, but it looks like the difference in team cardio may be Kendall's chance going into the second round.

Cracked rib. Pussy.

:P

If it's THAT bad just quit.

If it's not that bad, shut the fuck up :P

Good, if somewhat methodical fight so far. Kalib has the slight edge in the first 2 rounds, but Kendall has hurt him standing, possibly damaging his rib with a knee.

I don't think Kalib has looked very confident on the ground, for whatever reason.

He seems hesitant, is Kendall really proficient in submissions at all, to be so cautious?

And I would give both rounds to Kendall, imho.

1st by a slight edge, the second more decisively (But both 10/9 rounds)

I think Kalib may have taken him down a few times, but didn't really DO anything, and Kendall is -constantly- getting good contact.

Plus Kalib may get a pentaly in the 3rd

I think Kendall's length has given him problems on the ground (though why he passed up the N/S kimura, I'll never know). Plus, he's been fighting since early in the second with a fucked up rib.

This fight is Kendall's for the taking.

I honestly thought that N/S was gonna be Kalib winning the fight.

But Kendall got out of that and basically has controlled things since.

Pentaly ANd he gave up cus of the rib?!

:P

That's funny..

That knee was BRUTAL.

He has pulled muscles or a tear in his muscles there.

Or maybe a bruise.

I don't think he broke anything.

Not with those symptoms

Well you probably caught it but didn't take as much offense as I.

"do you wanna fight again?"

"My head is split open, here AND here, Im outta shape, I can't fight"

"Wow that guy just isn't a fighter."

Or saying Kalib was a quitter, even though the guy messed up his ribs something fierce.

There aren't many boxercise instructors that are so quick to judge the mettle of an MMA fighter.

So next week, Ed pisses on Rory's stuff.

Could he possibly try to imitate Leben any more?

Ed is going to dye his hair before the fight?

That broken nose is not nearly as bad as having those cuts plus being out of the house for that long. The cuts can easily end a fight a lot sooner than the broken nose can, but for some reason that guy gets a pass while Kris gets shit on.

Tait deserved the verbal drubbing though.
