I get the feeling if Mike Goldberg would've said yes to Vince in October, he would've either quit by now and/or people would have been screaming for JR to come back. (probrably the former more than the latter)

Y'know, I'm amazed they didn't try out Tony Schiavone. He wasn't as bad as some people said and he loves to shill. You'd think he'd be a natural WWE announcer

-There was a recent altercation between Edge and a fan at an Iowa house show where the fan threw a soda that hit Edge, who responded by going into the crowd and grabbing the guy by the shirt, shaking him around as the guy went limp. Security broke it up within seconds and escorted the fan away, while Edge walked off angrily.

So soda doesn't rule?

It wasn't RC Cola. That pissed Edge off, only RC rules.

yea, someone else remmebers the sodas rule line. Classic stuff. Actually you know his fav soda is "edge" soda remember that?

I get the feeling Lashley and Finley will brawl their way out of the MITB match.

I could even see them doing one of those deals where they show them continuously brawling between a match or two after MITB is over.

That would be the smart booking, but knowing the WWE, they will do the opposite.

I still like my idea of someone knocking Matt Hardy out backstage before the match and that person takes over Hardy in the match. As a running gag, similar to Mike Sanders on Thunder a few years ago, Matt keeps getting knocked out every time he gets up. I would have Carlito and Masters, fresh from their match in a fight or celebration (it works either way) and Masters, accidently knocks out a near-by Matt Hardy who was on his way to the ring for the MITB. Carlito, chuckles and tells Masters "I'll be back, all right?"...

Then Carlito takes Matt's spot in the MITB match.

They should show Lashley and Finlay brawling on HEAT during some "wrestlers meeting" organized by Long. They brawl out in the street and basically disappear. MnM walk up to Long and thank him for giving them the night off because they had to leave early anyways for their movie premeire in London, the next night. Long, decides to throw MnM into the ladder match.

Lashley and Finlay return at some point during the night from the streets, still slugging it out and they brawl throughout the arena after knocking Matt Hardy out again. They end up brawling inside the ring during the playboy pillow fight on top of the bed. The two nearly naked diva's scream and run away in horror as the feathers from the pillows fly in the air and the two men still beat the hell out of each other.

Matt wakes up during Edge/Foley, which turned into a falls count anywhere match in the back and Lita, uses Matt as a shield against Foley.

This does many things, keeps Finlay and Lashley hot, the comedy of Matt getting his ass kicked and gets MnM on the show. Everybody wins.

No offense, but that's some Vince Russo type booking right there, and changes every member from the Smackdown side in the match. It makes the match even feel more 2nd rate.

If I was the booker I'd just have MNM face the Mexicools in a barnburner opener to get the fans rallied up.

-SmackDown! is holding live events in Israel in July for the first time in 12 years.

I hope Hassan makes the trip and JBL bust's out the Nazi salute.

SD's side was already russo-rific. How did Matt get in? By DQ. How did Lashley get in? battle royal.

Nobody is taking Lashley/Finlay as serious threats to win because they aren't at that level yet and they got a hot angle that basically assures they will keep each other from winning. Matt Hardy, while popular is never going to be a realistic threat to get a world title shot.

What my not-so serious suggestion does was keeps Lashley/Finlay intense and focused between them, instead of forcing them to rescrict their blood feud in between spots. Matt getting his ass kicked in awkward situations is always good fun and MnM should be on the show.

No offense, but I'd give MNM even LESS of a shot at the MITB than I would either Finlay or Lashley. They are a tag team after all, neither guy is remotely going to win the MITB.

What's the opposite of them brawling out of the match

Uhh...staying in it?

It'd be ignoring each other's hatred and following the spot sequences.

Thing is, there's only 2 guys that have a realistic shot (Flair and RVD). Everyone else is just there for spots. If I could've re-booked it, I would've had Burchill win a qualifying match. Then I'd do the BR pretty much the same until the end. I'd have Finlay interfere and throw Lashely out, leading to one on one match between those two. Then MNM would jump out at the same time on purpose, leaving Long no choice but to put them both in the MITB.

Then you have 3 guys that can contribute to the spotty nature of the match, take bumps, add comedy, and get 3 people on the WM card who should be there. Plus you get Lashley/Finlay one on one, instead of lumping them in a match where they have no business.

Burchill should just randomly swing down to the ring in the middle of the MITB match, hit a few quick moves on whoever's not already selling something, then steal the briefcase.

That'd be comedy gold.

Would it be that fucking hard to give Rey his belt at Mania?

You STILL want Rey to win this title that much eh? The guy's credibility is worse than Orton's now, so even if you get what you want, you want actually get what you want. Rey's a lost cause.

No offense, but I'd rather have Orton win the title than Mysterio.

I'm shocked that they haven't added some sort of cruiser match, maybe something for the #1 contendership.

Paul London won a #1 contenders match on Velocity a few weeks ago (he prob. would've faced Helms at WM had Helms not broken his nose). Not that the company pays attention to: 1) cruisers, or 2) what happens on Velocity, but at least it makes sense that they wouldn't have another one.

The worst part is NO ONE in that triple threat has any credibility left. Angle was the only one that any cred after NWO, but weeks of being Mark Henry's bitch and almost losing his title to UT have left him with nothing.

What happens on SD this week is too little too late and only further buries the other two.

Hmmm, I didn't know that.

Well, Helms is out for a number of weeks/months, right? They could have done this "big" angle where the cruisers fought over the number one contendership in Helms' absence.

The point is that the cruisers should have been on the show. I don't mean that really in a way where I'm saying they should care for the division, because we all know they really don't. I'm shocked they didn't have them on the show just because it usually makes for a hot match that gets the crowd really into the show. Seems like they'd want that on there. As of right now, there aren't really matches like that on the card, unless they blow their load and have the MITB match go on first.

If JBL/Benoit gets 15, it can be a good opener and they like using secondary title matches as openers.

No way JBL/Benoit get 15. No way at all. If they are the opener, they'll get less than 10. Bank on it.

I'd take Orton over Rey Guerrero too.

Aside from the way they'll book Rey and the fact I don't have an interest in seeing him with the belt, the money is in the face chasing the heel. Orton can play the heel champion just fine, so long as they don't hotshot him into a face turn or put him against The Undertaker.

I agree that Orten should win the title, even if it is wwe making up for his first piss poor run. The man has worked hard enough to be champ again.

Rey shoouldnt win the title, becuse wwe are STILL cashing in on the eddies death and i think thats wrong.

As happy as i am that Angle is FINALLY champion, i dont think there are any good heavyweights for him to fight against on SD.

At least the crowd would react to Rey winning the title.

I can't stand the way he's being pushed as "Eddie Guerrero Jr." but it's certainly better than Orton. Plus, I think a Misterio title run would draw.
