What DVDs would you like to see the WWE release?

Recommended Posts

Personally, I'd like to see the complete history of the HHH/HBK feud. There's certainly enough material there to fill a disc, and that's actually my favorite feud of the last five years or so.

The things I'd really like to see are:

1) The awesome via satellite promo where HHH discloses that he ran over HBK, and Shawn gives one of the most realistic chills-inducing displays of anger I've ever seen.

2) The heat segment before the PPV where Shawn first gets his hands on Hunter after finding out what he did.

3) The classic Summerslam match. This is obviously available elsewhere, but as the climax of the feud and the best WWF/WWE match in recent history, it has to be there.

4) The segment from WWE NY where Shawn comes out in the wheelchair and fakes being paralyzed before casually getting up, giving a smirk, and telling HHH that he will attack him and take his title away.

5) HBK's Survivor Series title win. Again, available elsewhere, and not even all that great of a match, but highly integral to the feud.

6) The criminally underrated Armageddon 2/3 falls match. I've heard it dismissed as garbage multiple times, but I remember loving this when I watched it live and including it among the top three most enjoyable matches of the year.

Anything after that's gravy, as the real feud ended in 2002. With that being said, the Raw match for the World title was excellent, and I always wanted to see the HIAC match, as opinions on it varied widely. Most people said it was crap, and a few said it was great, but I have a sneaking suspicion I might have been in the latter group.

I'm probably one of a very small number of people that would buy this release, especially among net fans, but I'd love it if it came out. So, anyway, what WWE DVDs would you like to see released that would almost certainly be financial failures.

They should also make a Hart/Austin DVD.

Wrestlemania 13

Bret's heel turn against the US fans

Reformation of the Hart Foundation

Austin vs Bret on Raw (where Austin attacks Bret in the ambulance)

I'd like to see sets on the following three guys:

Owen

Savage

Perfect

But especially Owen.

Also, I don't know how it would work but if they could release some sort of compilation with all the Gorilla/Heenan skits and interactions, and maybe throw some of their commentary on there... well, that would be amazing.

I wouldn't want to watch a million ladder matches in a row (kind of desensitizes the viewer to the whole concept) but I'm surprised they haven't released something along the lines of "Best Ladder Matches" yet.

DVD I’d like to see:

“Iron Sheik: America’s Favorite Hated Wrestler.” Bare bones should be one hour overview of career and life. Then the usual highlights of WWWF and early WWF era.

Of course, I want to see a Randy Savage DVD. At LEAST a three disc DVD set. I'm sure most of us want to see that.

Since WWE made a Road Warriors DVD, I'm actually surprised they haven't considered a Demoliton one. Especially since Vince usually favors his creations over the competition.

A best of Demolition 2-disc set would be awesome, as would a set for the Rockers, British Bulldogs, Hart Foundation. And even though most people here wouldn't want to see it, I'd like a best of Nash and Hall as Diesel and Razor Ramon in the WWF dvd 3-disc set as well.

This doesn't classify as something that wont sell well, but once his tna deal is up I'd like to see a comprehensive 2-3 disc set on sting.

I remember there were rumours about such a release a while back but I'm not sure if true or not. I'd love to see one, especially if it included the original HBK vs Bret match and the E&C vs Hardyz Tag Title match from the very first TNN RAW.

On WWE.com there've been various polls about upcoming DVD releases and from what I can infer they're possibly planning for a new John Cena DVD, Best of Saturday Night's Main Event, and a Best of Starrcade DVD.

Currently a poll up for Best of the WWE Championship.

Here is the link where you can vote which matches they'll include on the DVD set for a September release. They give a list of matches for each decade from the 70s to the 2000s and you have to pick 5 from each decade. Pretty cool, IMO.

How about an Edge/Christian DVD? Cover their days in the brood, to their transition as a babyface high-flying team. Obviously, the main focus would be on their heel days and TLC matches, and then wrap it up with Edge's KOTR win and subsequent Christian turn.

I'd go for a Booker T or "Death of WCW" DVD too.

A DX "True Hollywood Story" style DVD would be awesome, including matches and skits with commentary and current shoot interviews with ALL of the past DX members, including interviews with guys like Vince, UT and a few other backstage power players.
