Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2007 Danica Patrick is still around, the media just stopped caring after the initial novelty instead of focusing on her actual talent, which is considerable.

Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted March 1, 2007 Danica needs to do something to get back in the spotlight. Winning a race won't happen. So, I'm usually against this, but she should get a boob job. Her body is like a 12-year old boy's. She'd be money.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2007 Her entire car's cabin would have to be recalibrated. At the very least they'd have to alter the seat back to allow for different arm positions, which alone could throw off her driving. Those cockpits are EXTREMELY precise and are made to match the driver. Also, it'd be like a horse jockey trying to bulk up. The idea is to stay as trim and light as possible. Guest Report post Posted March 1, 2007 As someone that's met her, she just needs to grow a little more of a BUTT. It's practically non-existant.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2007 I Was gonna say ESPN sucks for having tech. difficulties right at the last 3 minutes of the Duke/Maryland game..but they finally got it fixed..and then lose it again right at the end..good thing the game is pretty much over. Oh, and Im a big fan of NASCAR (Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson). Danica Patrick did the right thing by not going to NASCAR..Montoya's getting schooled so far. Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2007 Oh, and Im a big fan of NASCAR (Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson). Danica Patrick did the right thing by not going to NASCAR..Montoya's getting schooled so far. We're TWO races in out of more than thirty. 'sides, it's not like Montoya was Michael Shumacher showing up in America or something.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2007 Plus Montoya has made it quite clear that right now he is far more concerned with learning to drive the damn car and not ripping apart the equipment in his rookie season than anything else. Once he gets a better handle on the car and some experience on the tracks (the Busch and NASCAR drivers have seen these tracks before so they have a leg up on him), he'll be fine.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2007 And before anyone chimes in with the "they're all ovals!" rebuttal to the idea of having to learn the tracks, there are differences, and every single one of them matters when you're going 180mph and surrounded by other cars. Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2007 Kiper is still hired by ESPN. They have his name on the bottom line thingy when his mock draft shows up. I guess they put McShea on TV because he's easier on the eyes. And Kiper's getting pretty fat. I remember when Kiper showed up on Sportcenter a week or so before the draft. Rated the best prospects, did the draft and was actually critical. Went away for another 50 weeks.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2007 A good way to tell what Mel's standing is can be found in whether he's the name on the draft prospects list in Madden '08.

Rated the best prospects, did the draft and was actually critical. Went away for another 50 weeks. They forced him in early this year, made him come in about midway through the college season and talk about the best players. He didn't look too happy, didn't sound like he really cared and had the look of someone who doesn't want to be bothered until March or April. Probably why you aren't seeing him much right now. He just doesn't give a damn at the moment and they know it.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2007 I can't blame him for not wanting to talk draft. Especially in early October.
the max 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2007 I've always wondered what exactly Mel Kiper Jnr. does all year. Does he just watch a lot of football? What's his background and how can he work 2 weeks a year but get paid all year long? Is there a class I can take to learn how to do this?
Guest Report post Posted March 1, 2007 Montoya has always had a tough time keeping the car from getting wrecked. He has to change his entire driving style, so I don't expect too much success from him this year.

Kiper is president of Kiper Enterprises, which he founded in 1981 while in college. It is responsible for all aspects of a series of annual publications including the NFL Draft Report and Draft Preview. He pretty much works for ESPN full-time. I heard on ESPN Radio mentioning how exited he was for the start of Spring Training. So I think he's gone past the Draft expert label.

naiwf 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2007 According to Buster Olney, Clemens is "at least a month" away from deciding whether he'll pitch or not. Something tells me, ESPN will still update us at least 10 to 15 times about his "progress" over the next month. Just fuck off and die already Roger.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2007 Clemens isn't forcing ESPN to cover his decision.
Guest Queen Leelee Report post Posted March 9, 2007 Please. Clemens is enjoying every bit of attention he gets by doing this. It's really a shame... I'll always remember him as "old, fat asshole that fake retired 100 times" instead of the great pitcher he was.

I sort of wish Piazza had drilled him a little harder when he threw that bat at him a few years back, now that I see what Clemens has turned into. Him and A-Rod are fucking disgraces to the game of baseball.

Him and A-Rod are fucking disgraces to the game of baseball. If anything, they aren't disgraces to the game.. they simply represent what Baseball has turned into in the wake of free agency. You can't blame a man that can pitch the way Clemens does, the way he still can for wanting to set himself up in a position that he can pitch half a season and get paid over 10million for it. Blame guys like McClane.. blame Steinbrenner.. blame Theo. These are the guys that shell out millions of dollars for a then hot commodity that in the long run, doesn't pan out but because they upped the pay-scale for a position, you then have others asking for comparible money. No one forced Texas to pay A-Rod the money they did. No one put a gun to Dreyton's head and told him to let Roger take off half the year, to let him stay home when he didn't pitch on road trips to stay with his family. No one told him to draft Roger's kid as a bargaining chip to try and re-sign Roger.

Him and A-Rod are fucking disgraces to the game of baseball. What has A-Rod ever done to be a disgrace to baseball? I don't really care for the guy, but he hasn't done anything to harm the game. Clemens on the other hand, I totally agree with. blame Steinbrenner.. blame Theo. These are the guys that shell out millions of dollars for a then hot commodity that in the long run, doesn't pan out but because they upped the pay-scale for a position, you then have others asking for comparible money. Excuse me? What monstrous contracts has Theo handed out that changed the payscale and didn't work out? He's the guy that passed on Pedro, DLowe, Nomar, Damon, etc. because they were getting offers for above market contracts. He's had his failures like anyone else, but in contract terms he's been one of the most restrained GMs in the game.
