muzz Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 NewsRadio reunion! Andy Dick on ER, on screen w/ Maura Tierney! I'd consider it more of a reunion with Dave Foley and Maura. Plus I'm never happy that Andy Dick is still getting work. I wouldn't be surprised to see Andy on the US Version of "Thank God You're Here" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thank_God_You're_Here, which would make it a Dave Foley and Andy Dick reunion. Actually, I could see Tierney and Rogan on there too.
Richard Posted March 2, 2007 Report Posted March 2, 2007 Where the hell is Bob? He doesn't have a social life now does he?
CBright7831 Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 http://emuse.ebaumsworld.com/watch/14773 Vader Sessions Imagining Darth Vader saying "BASEBALL" is hilarious.
Insanity Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 http://emuse.ebaumsworld.com/watch/14773 Vader Sessions Imagining Darth Vader saying "BASEBALL" is hilarious. I saw this awhile back, and still the part at 6:35 makes me laugh so hard.
haVoc Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 I watched the George Lopez show for the first time in two years last week. What happen to the daughter?
bob_barron Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 Where the hell is Bob? He doesn't have a social life now does he? No, but he has a job and he missed the show because he was at the dress and afterparty
luke-o Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 My mates just got me tickets to see Kevin Smith doing a q and a session for April 5th. I'm well excited! Anyone here been to one of his shows?
RepoMan Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 My mates just got me tickets to see Kevin Smith doing a q and a session for April 5th. I'm well excited! Anyone here been to one of his shows? I saw him at Kent State back in 2001. Part of it made it on the Evening with Kevin Smith DVD. I had a great time. He answers everyone who want's to ask a question. He was on stage for at least 4 hours. A lot of pepole bailed early actually.
luke-o Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 This is billed for 3 hours, so im hoping to get my question in early.
EricMM Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 When he was at UMD he made it five. I'd say at least 1/3 of the shit he talked about made it into Clerks 2. the WHOLE LotR bit, the whole large clits bit, etc.
Guest Smues Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 I just saw an ad for what appears to be a direct to DVD Dukes of Hazard prequel. It had been a long time since I flipped off my television and yelled FUCK YOU HOLLYWOOD.

But it's so we can get the last tube. Actually, while im here, Starship Troopers and Con Air are fucking brilliant movies.
strummer Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 David Cross is going to be playing a Howard K. Stern type character on Law and Order this May in a "Ripped from the Headlines" episode on the Anna Nicole mess. I MUST watch this.
godthedog Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 awesome. that will fit in so perfectly with the new "parody-of-itself" persona that 'law and order' has created for itself in the last year.
Black Lushus Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 Dolemite to be remade I have a baaaad feeling about this.
Darthtiki Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Larry "Bud" Melman of Letterman and early 90's 1-800-Collect fame passed away at 85
King Kamala Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Didn't want to start another "Weird Dreams You Had" thread on the General Board and since my dream last night was mildly Movies/TV related, I thought I'd post it here Anyways in my dream last night, I was a reporter covering a celebrity basketball game and various second rate rappers and football players were there. And then I noticed the guy who played Stringer Bell on The Wire is in the front row (Idris Elba IIRC). And so I walk over to him and am like "Hey man- I loved you on The Wire" and he gave a confused face and was like "I didn't know any white people watched The Wire." And I was like "Oh really, I would think that a lot of white people watched it since black people can't afford HBO." Then he gives me this glare and I'm afraid Stringer Bell is going to kick my ass but then we both burst out laughing and the dream ends. Weird...man, I can't wait until 2008 for Season Five.
King Kamala Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 And I just found out they made a sequel to Encino Man; http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116197/ I'm going to hit myself in the face with a brick.
2GOLD Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Dolemite to be remade I have a baaaad feeling about this. I got a worse feeling from the ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK remake in production.
King Kamala Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 The proposed Warriors remake, set in L.A. instead of New York has me a bit worried. Don't they remember Escape From LA ?
Black Lushus Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 with Dolemite, the key is going to be the guy that plays Dolemite himself entirely. Also, it needs to be set in the 70s, it can't be him thinking he's still in the 70s while the rest of the world is modern (like the Brady Bunch movies). A modern day version of Dolemite wouldn't work either (like the recent Shaft movie). Bernie Mac is the only one coming to mind at the moment. maybe Sam L.? WHo's doing he Warriors remake? Is it John Singleton? I haven't had much faith in him lately. He hasn't made anything that's come close to the greatness of Boyz n the Hood.

Is it John Singleton? I haven't had much faith in him lately. He hasn't made anything that's come close to the greatness of Boyz n the Hood. Tony Scott actually. Plus they replaced all the cools gangs from the original with new hip LA gangs. So I'm not holding my breath on that one. As for Dolemite, I know Wayne Brady and Charlie Murphy are attached so the nightmare scenario remake might be in effect. Plus I'm not exactly sure how that even would work. At one time LL Cool J was going to be Dolemite but that fizzled out and died after the rights were exchanged. Knowing our luck, it'll star Snoop Dogg or Tracy Morgan. Hope as officially died: Bill Fishman, director of such great hits as the 1994 remake 'Car 54, Where Are you'? is the holder of the rights and the director.
Black Lushus Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 aaargh! Tony Scott is okay, I mean I did like Top Gun, Days of Thunder, True Romance and Man on Fire, but I dunno...the fun part of the original Warriors was, as you said, the over-the-top gangs. No Baseball Furies = weak!
luke-o Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Why does Hollywood have to keep remaking films? Its getting ridiculous now. I heard they might be remaking Robocop the other day! And warriors without Baseball Furies, lame. Total lame.
Black Lushus Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 remaking Robocop??? those motherfuckers!
Ripper Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 I just watched Wickerman last night. What the fuck was I just watching? What the hell was that? I mean, i am going to buy it now so it can go on the shelf with House of the Dead and Troll 2 as two of the more hilariously bad movies I have ever seen...ever...but really...they weren't serious when making that movie, were they? How'd it get burned? How'd it get burned? How'd it get burned? How'd it get burned? HOWD IT GET BURNNNNEED? Please...everyone go see this movie...now.
King Kamala Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 NBC is remaking the Bionic Woman. Now why are they remaking spinoffs now for God's sakes? Maybe they wanted to remake The Six Million Dollar Man but realized that no mortal being could match the awesomeness of Lee Majors.
cd213 Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 I read that they are also remaking Teen Wolf, but this time with a female as the Michael J. Fox role. Tom Wellington of shitty remake The Fog fame will co-star.
King Kamala Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 Come on that guy can't even pass for being a teenager by 90210 standards! As a proud owner of the Teen Wolf/Teen Wolf Too 2 movies on one DVD, this is making me very upset.
cd213 Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 All of these remakes of classics make me upset. The fact that people will go see them and Hollywood keeps pumping them out makes me even more pissed. God forbid Hollywood takes a script by an unknown or indy writer and makes an ORIGINAL movie. I'm not going to sit here bashing all remakes though, there have been a few good ones, but the good ones are few and far between.
