chaosrage 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 I really don't get how the foul on Varejao was a foul. Varejao was just standing there with his hands up and Rasheed jumped into him. How is that a foul on Varejao?
naiwf 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 It isn't. NBA refs just happen to be the worst in all of pro sports.

naiwf 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 Cleveland just completely choked the game, and their season, away.

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 Tough loss, but I don't think Cleveland's assured of losing. They've won before in Detroit and they can win again. I don't think "pressure" has anything to do with this either. It should be a great game Sunday either way.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 Detroit by double digits on Sunday.
chaosrage 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 Michael Jordan would have ran, caught his own free throw rebound, and dunked it.

The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 I don't understand the Finley boos. It's not like he backstabbed the Mavs and wanted out, it was basically the reverse.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 Michael Jordan would have ran, caught his own free throw rebound, and dunked it. Â No, MJ would have shot the 3 and tried to tie it. Or at the very least called time and given himself a chance to get a clean look at a 3. LeBron's inexperience showed up there, as did Flip Murray's when he tried a Superman 1 handed rebound with authority and bounced it right to a Pistons player. The game was there for the Cavs and if they don't lose by at least 15 on Sunday I'd be shocked.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 20, 2006 Cavs didn't choke, the ball didn't bounce their direction on rebounds near the end.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 That was a freakish ending to the game. Kind of like the reverse of Game 5, where pistons had like 3 chances to tie or win and couldn't get it done. the missed FTs (ridiculous) almost gift wrapped the game to the Cavs but they couldn't get it done on the boards. And yes, flip saunders still sucks.
Guest Brian Report post Posted May 20, 2006 Michael Jordan would have ran, caught his own free throw rebound, and dunked it. Â ARE YOU KIDDING? Â Why would Mike run from the Free throw line when he could jump from it. Space Jam was REAL...
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 I just saw a video of Jordan dunking a missed Pippen free throw when he was standing behind the line, he could certainly dunk his own FT miss.

bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 the Cavs aren't doomed. They CAN win it on Sunday. I just can't see them blowing out the Pistons at the palace, whereas I feel like the Pistons getting a blowout win is at least a semi-real possibility. however, the last 3 games have all been 2 point games in the end, so we'll see. They'll have to keep it close then count on Lebron to take over late like in game 3.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 They had TOs left? Â Yeah, I believe it was a full. They mentioned it twice when Rasheed was shooting. And I think they said it again before Billups took his 2nd.
Just John 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 I could have sworn the announcers said Cleveland had one timeout left while Chauncey was taking his FT's. I remember thinking to myself that one timeout was all they needed if by chance he missed. I was really surprised they took the ball up the floor with 15 seconds left. Terrible clock management. Â I'm not convinced Game 7 is a blowout. Detroit was insanely lucky to even get another game, and I don't expect the Cavs to roll over and die especially after they hung tough in Game 5. Sure, if you made me pick, I'd go Detroit, but let's not jump to conclusions too soon. It's always one game at a time.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 German Jesus draws a big 3rd foul on Duncan. Dallas needs to extend it to at least 10 by the half.
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 Detroit by double digits on Sunday. Â All odds are that Detroit will win Game 7. But all odds were that Detroit wouldn't have to win Game 7.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 That was an awesome play by Daniels, too bad it didn't count. Dallas needs to keep picking up fouls on Duncan, Ginobili, Horry & Bowen.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 What the fuck is the point of replay if you are going to count shots that clearly shouldn't count? Â MAN that is some bullshit. The Spurs better not lose by 2 or there is going to be hell to pay.
chaosrage 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 They didn't count it. Â Oh, and these refs like to blow whistles... a lot.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 They didn't count it. Oh, and these refs like to blow whistles... a lot.  Anyone who knows David Stern knew this game would be overofficiated so that we wouldn't end up with another Terry/Finley situation. Duncan won't foul out, but the 3 other Spurs with 3 fouls might. If the Mavs are smart they'll just keep posting up Manu and Bowen and get those two out of the game, then they can just stack the paint for the remainder of the half.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 I don't think Dallas is going to pull this one off. They should be pounding the paint, but they're just not doing it enough. They had 4 guys in foul trouble, and aside from Duncan drawing his 4th at the end of the quarter they didn't get the job done. Looks like the two favorites will advance to the Conference Finals thanks to the underdogs not delivering the KO punch.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 I can't see Dallas winning game 7. Too much doubt in their minds after letting this one slip away.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 Argh, every hope I had of watching the NBA Finals went down the shitter tonight since there's no way anyone's stopping the dreaded Detroit/San Antonio rematch now and I won't bother tuning in for even a minute of that series. Fuck you Jason Terry.
