Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 We are going to get a chance to see what Lebron is made of in Game 6. The Cavs have to close out at home of they are finished with a capital F going to Detroit for the final game. I have to say, Lebron is amazing. I even underestimated how one great player can carry a squad on his back. This would be the first series that I didn't see the outcome coming from in a mile away in as many years as I can remember. All hail the '06 playoffs!
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 Ok so how is that fair? I'm just trying to state my opinion like everyone else. But because everyone on this board hates me they start a fight with me over my opinion. Everyone else states there opinion and nobody gives them extreme amounts of shit like they give me. So I'm essentially being punished because everyone doesn't like my opinion and wants to fight over it. Yeah that's real fair. See, you are already turning into the very people you hate. Me: Man I hate Cavs and all the hype they receive. I wish Detroit would win. Hawk: If Lebron played for OU you'd suck his dick! You have sex with anything OU related homo! Haha! therealworldschampion: Dama's going to have a meltdown it'll be fun to watch! Har har har! VX: We should ban Dama. Look at the shit he's starting. Kingofthe909: Yeah Dama. Quit making this thread about you! We're trying to discuss sports! Yeah that's basically how it is. I state my opinion and all that shit piles up. *EDIT* Sorry AL. I was writing this while you were posting the other thread. I didn't ignore what you said.
Guest Report post Posted May 18, 2006 I think it's going to Game 7. I honestly want to see a LeBron game winner in Detroit, almost in the same fashion as the Jordan one. I want that to happen just so Rasheed will finally shut his mouth and play the game.

USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 I don't like the Cavs, but they have earned my respect. They didn't quit throughout the whole thing. As for the Mavs/Spurs game, I'm just hoping the Mavs become the 2nd team to advance to the conference finals.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 I would think that if it goes 7, Detroit would probably win. I just can't see them losing a Game 7 at home, LeBron or no LeBron. I mark for old Tim Duncan Wake Forest clips.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 I was thinking this eariler, is Duncan the most celebrated NBA player to go so completely under the radar? He has 3 rings and is still young(only 30 years old) along with a pair of MVP's and yet, people tend to neglect him. While it's due to his lack of personality, the market he plays in as well as not being an electrifying type player but it's still sad that he gets ignored so much. When he first came in, David Robinson was still getting all the recognition in San Antonio. Then Shaq and Kobe stole the spotlight in the West when the Lakers started winning titles. Meanwhile, Duncan's just played awesomely the entire time and been very quiet about it. He's certainly the most unassuming superstar in the league. I'd go so far as to call Duncan the Pete Sampras of basketball. Not flashy, not a big personality, but supremely talented.

Who would be the Agassi of the NBA? The insanely popular player that can perform and win but just can't beat Sampras/Duncan... I wanted to say Shaq but I'm not sure if that is the right choice.
Guest Report post Posted May 18, 2006 Dirk or Nash. Dirk's status is about to change, but it would definitely be Nash. He's never been able to beat the Spurs.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted May 18, 2006 How about Kevin Garnett or AI? Or McGrady? They're more popular.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 That makes sense but I'm not sure Dirk fits the flashy pop superstar aspect of Agassi that I was making there with the whole comparison. You might be right about Nash, however. Nash just needs to win titles like Agassi has. That's why I named Shaq, Shaq is more popular then Duncan and everyone seemingly loves him and he has a few titles and they had those wars in the early 00's like Agassi and Sampras did. CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 Wow, Duncan's just having a huge half. The Spurs should be up by more than just one point.
Guest Report post Posted May 18, 2006 Shaq beat Duncan though. That's why I'm not too sure if there is a Agassi type guy in the league right now. Reggie Miller was the "Agassi". Either loved him or hated him. However, the problem with that comparison, is that Jordan was definitely no Sampras.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 I think Cleveland closes this out because of the Wallace suspension. I would also like to take this time to point out how I hate this "get a certain number of T's during the season and you get suspended". To many guys get such a short leash that it simply isn't fair....of course since I think Rasheed was the only guy to get suspended....I guess what I am saying is that I don't like the Rasheed Rule. Take the guys money. If he mouths off twice, kick him out the game, but the suspension is too much. But with him out, the Pistons bench consist of Maurice Evans and Lindsey Hunter, losing Antonio McDyess to the starting line-up. I don't think Cleveland is a better team, but Detroits cockiness has done them in. There is a big difference between having no doubt that you will win and believeing that the other team can't beat you. I guarentee like 3 people are going to get that... Gert T 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 Wow, Duncan's just having a huge half. The Spurs should be up by more than just one point. Yeah if you're Dallas and you're told before the game that Duncan was going to go 11-11 in the 1st half and score 28 points and you'd still be tied they'd take it. But Dallas is still playing the game they want to play.

Guest Report post Posted May 18, 2006 It's odd seeing Kobe doing a studio show in the 2nd round. He's not used to being knocked out that early. And I get what Ripper was saying. They forgot that they were playing a playoff caliber team and not the Bobcats.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 I'll go so far as to say that Dallas will win by at least 8. Tim-may will eventually miss shots, he and Parker all but played the perfect half and the Mavs are even IN San Antonio. Manu will make a run, but Nowitzki's 14+ second half points seal the deal. Guest Report post Posted May 18, 2006 Who told Kobe that sweater vest looked good? Kanye West. I've never seen Kobe not wearing a sweater vest when on TV or a press conference, at least recently. That color isn't good.

naiwf 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 Duncan gets away with murder in the low post. He fouled Harris twice on that play which led to a jump ball, and he shoulder dips just as hard as Shaq does, but since he doesn't have the extra 100 pounds he gets away with it. He's an all-time great, but he gets to do essentially whatever he wants and only gets called for fouls when he blatantly slaps someone across the face or arms.
