Well if he was billed from San Fransisco he'd use the 916 as an area code. Other than that it would be GOD AWFUL. The more I think about it, Taker/Khali might reach levels of absurd awesomeness that it will be up there with Steiner/HHH in unintentional humor. Or I'm just trying to make something positive out of a horrible horrible match.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2006 San Fran isn't a 916 area code (916 is Sacramento area). San Fran is 415 or 650.

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 World Heavyweight Title Rey Mysterio vs. JBL The Finals of The 2006 King of the Ring Tournament Booker T vs. Bobby Lashley WWE Tag Team Championship MNM vs. Paul London & Brian Kendrick The Undertaker vs. The Great Khali Kurt Angle vs. Mark Henry Cruiserweight Title Gregory Helms vs. Super Crazy Melina vs. Jillian Benoit vs. Finlay I never thought there'd come a day where I actually wanted to see JBL be champion again. And I do hope Booker T wins because like somebody said, Lashley's still a bit green. I'm tossed on the CW title, Helms has done an amazing job, I wouldn't mind him holding onto the title a little bit longer. Angle / Henry was fucking HORRIBLE at the Rumble so I'm not expecting anything different here. I'm mainly interested in the tag title match.
Just John 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 World Heavyweight Title Rey Mysterio vs. JBL: I'm really starting to think they swerve and have Rey retain, kind of like they did with Cena at Mania. I'm not sure they want to run another JBL/Batista program, since last year's was pretty weak. They had little chemistry out of the ring, and no chemistry in the ring. Put me on the "Give Booker the belt" list. The Finals of The 2006 King of the Ring Tournament Booker T vs. Bobby Lashley: Booker's character is the type to weasel his way to a title shot anyway, so I see them going with conventional booking here. They're promoting KOTR as the launching pad for new stars, so go ahead and give it to Lashley. It'll look good on his resume later WWE Tag Team Championship MNM vs. Paul London & Brian Kendrick: Off the wall pick here, but I just don't see where you can go with L/K as champs. I say MNM cheats, then L/K get the titles later, possibly in a ladder match. The Undertaker vs. The Great Khali: I think the writers know about UT's kill streak and brought this guy in for that very purpose. Seriously, why else would Khali even be close to a WWE ring? And why would UT agree to work with him? I see something screwy here, but the reaper's coming for Khali at the GAB. Kurt Angle vs. Mark Henry: Well, if Angle's back, no point in jobbing him here. Start the Henry de-push to expiration, please! Cruiserweight Title Gregory Helms vs. Super Crazy: Could go either way, but I think WWE likes Helms as the cocky champ. No point jobbing him to Crazy after spending months out of action. Melina vs. Jillian: In a meaningless match with no clear winner, go with the face. Unfortunately, there's no pun with that anymore. Benoit vs. Finlay: Obviously Benoit gets his win back. Since it will likely be clean and it is on ppv, the match should be better than their SD one.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio vs. United States Champion JBL Meh. Another Rey vs. Big Guy match that'll make JBL look a goof for selling half the moves he takes. King of the Ring Tournament Final Lashley/Booker? I'm on the fence, it could be good but I'm not huge fans of either. WWE Tag Team Champions MNM vs. Paul London & Brian Kendrick A lot of potential for a good match, this is the one I'm most looking forward to on the entire card. Undertaker vs. The Great Khali You'd have to pay me to watch it, not the other way around. Kurt Angle vs. Mark Henry See above. Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms vs. Super Crazy Great, on paper. Chris Benoit vs. Finlay No brainer, great match. Melina vs. Jillian Pass. And I'm pretty sure it's Box Office over here, meaning no order from me. Two matches I'm interested in and I have both taped from Velocitys in the past couple of months. "Thumbs in the middle pointing down".
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 I also want to add in that I really enjoyed Mysterio / Layfield from No Mercy last year so I'm hoping the title match between the two will be similar to what they did before. And it will be nothing, but complete and utter bullshit if JBl wins the belt by having to cheat to defeat Rey. But this is the WWE so I'm expecting it to happen. Guest burth179 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 I expect Rey to retain because of this "underdog champion" angle he is playing. I don't look at spoilers, but my guess is that somehow Kane arrives for one night only on Smackdown (becasue it will be Friday MAY 19TH!) and squashes Mysterio again. Just a hunch. If so, 3 weeks in a row he jobs to 300+ pounders to make him look as weak as possible. Only to once again "overcome the odds" and retain his title when it comes to the "nut cutting time" as J.R. would say. The only way I see JBL winning is IF they plan on having RVD wrestle JBL at ONS II (which I think would actually be the BEST possible matchup for ECW because of the whole Blue Meanie/JBL incident, JBL will be lucky to leave the hammerstein alive! However I think it will ultimately be Cena vs. RVD)

Slickster 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 Kane's movie drops May 19. I think JBL will lose due to the return of Batista, which will provide a distraction allowing Rey to capitalize and score the pinfall. Also, Booker T will beat Lashley to win KOTR. Then, you have Rey drop the belt to Booker T on SmackDown, setting up Booker T vs. Bobby Lashley JBL vs. Batista as feuds on the road to The Great American Bash. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2006 What's with the May 19th talk? Is it officially KANE DAY or something? Besides it being the release date of See No Evil, the WWE actually believes in continuity for a change! On May 19, 1998, Kane was revealed to be the result of a furtive union between The Undertaker's mother and Paul Bearer, an employee at the funeral home in Death Valley owned by The Undertaker's parents. When Kane and The Undertaker were children, The Undertaker "accidentally" burned down the funeral home, killing their parents and hideously scarring Kane both physically and mentally (the parents of The Undertaker are supposedly buried somewhere on Long Island; during an episode of RAW taped on Long Island, Kane and Bearer ostensibly exhumed their bodies and brought them to the arena). Bearer, who survived the fire, hid Kane in a mental asylum as he grew up and went on to form an alliance with The Undertaker. After suffering mistreatment at the hands of The Undertaker, Bearer opted to bring Kane in to the WWF in order to gain vengeance upon The Undertaker. frisco 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2006 Well outside of Benoit and Finley the only real match I'm looking foreward to is Melina and Jillian. I mean two hot babes interests me a whole hell of a lot than anything involving the great Khali (AKA Giant Gonzales 2) or Mark freakin' Henry. Benoit and Finley should be an awesome match up. Booker T and Lashley should be pretty good. But i'm really sick of Lashleys hold "Quiet man" gimmic. They should of built him up as this unstoppable monster...not Mr. Nice guy. MNM vs London and Kendrick are not impressed with. I like MNM because they're...IMO...a whole hell of a lot more entertaining to watch. London and Kendrick are like 6 year olds on Jolt, bounce around all the time and have about as much energy as the spirit squad, but ultimately I find them boring...and a little annoying. JBL will beat Rey...hell that already made Rey look like a stumble bum the last 2 weeks on Smackdown. He'll definitely drop the belt to JBL, then go off for surgery. WTF is the WWE thinking on having its champion loose in clean pin falls two weeks in a row? Gregory Helms vs Super Crazy might be a decent match, but at the same time I can't help but feel its not a PPV worthy match up. Melina and Jillian are both really hot AND decent wrestlers. The match itself might not be the second coming of Finley vs Benoit, but for damn sure I'll enjoy oggling the babes. I just hope they wear revealing clothing. Melina's okay looking, Jillian looks like some sort of cyborg with implants with those eyes of hers. Neither of them are decent wrestlers, unless you go by the WWE women's standards, i.e low standards. Download some porn, it'll be cheaper.
