Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2006 I'll be hitting up the Tigers/Sawx game tonight. With Schilling pitching and the Tigers playing the way they have, it should be an enjoyable affair.
strummer 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2006 With all the rain in NY , it looks like the first two games of the Mets/Giants series are going to be called. NYC is on call for flood warnings
naiwf 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2006 Crawford possibly blowing out his knee arguing a call was the funniest thing I've seen since one of the Grammaticas did it after making a kick or Gus Frerotte concussing himself.
devo 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2006 Well, the Mets game got rained out tonight, and will apparently be played tomorrow as part of a doubleheader. That seems fine until you realize that The Weather Channel has the chances of precipitation tomorrow at 100%. I'd be surprised if more than one game of this series gets played this weekend. Â I didn't understand the logic behind that one either. Unless they play a doubleheader on Sunday, I agree with you that only one game will be played this weekend. vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2006 In Astros news that nobody outside of Houston cares about, Mike "Send em to the" Gallo got sent down to AAA this morning, and the Astros have called up Chris Sampson, a converted shortstop who has gone 7-1 with 7 walks and 35 strikeouts in 65 innings at our AAA club this season, he's also hitting .522 in 23 at bats. However, he's just holding a place until Clemens comes back on the 22nd. Either way, he's gotta be better than Gallo.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2006 A-Rod isn't playing tonight for the Yankees.. That's a pretty un-Yankee-like lineup they've got out there: Â Damon Cabrera Jeter Giambi Williams Cano Phillips Cairo Stinnett

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2006 Oh no, is my A-Rod ok? Â Viral infection, unfortunately I guess that means he'll live to play another day for the Yankees. Â Giambi 2-R HR makes it 3-2 Yankees in the 6th..ugh.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted June 3, 2006 Jason is bitter about being left off the all-star team. He's been the top Yankee this year. Â Take it out on the crappy Orioles.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2006 I saw yesterday's Binghamton/Reading game live. It's not often you get to see a lineup with five players under the Mendoza line, as Binghamton did. Consequently Daniel Haigwood looked terrific, striking out seven in seven innings, giving up just one run which turned out to be the only score of the contest. Binghamton reliever Matt Lindstrom struck out four of the five batters he faced. His fastball is just devestating, hitting 100 mph at times. Â One player who didn't play who caught my eye was Binghamton's Henry Owens. In 14 2/3 innings, he's struck out 33 batters. In fact, he's struck out 60% of the batters he's faced. That's just disgusting. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in New York sooner than later.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2006 Corey Patterson is awesome. Â Bunts to get on base via Wrights error, steals 2nd on a pitchout and scores on a basehit up the middle by Lopez. Â 3-3 and the Os have 2nd/3rd 2 outs.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2006 The Os might actually pull this one out.. Â 5-4 yankees, Bases Loaded 1 out in the bottom of the 8th with Mora up vs Farnsworth.
