The Robfather 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 I saw no foul by Dirk. But the Mavs did piss away their timeout. Dallas can only hope their homecourt can turn the tide, but I think this is over.
Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 Man, even Chris Webber is going "That was a lame ass timeout."
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 Bah... so what if Josh Howard called a premature time out! If they saved the time out and advanced they ball, they would have just screwed up another alley-oop play.
Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 And a crucial game ends with Wade on the line. Shocking from the NBA. The Heat are going to be given the NBA title. Yeah, how dare they call a foul at the end of the game. They can call a foul, but there has to be one committed first
mike546 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 Anybody hear Wade's postgame interview? Damn did his cousin prepare him for that foul shot.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 And a crucial game ends with Wade on the line. Shocking from the NBA. The Heat are going to be given the NBA title. Yeah, how dare they call a foul at the end of the game. I think it was that foul or a Dallas foul before that which was verrry questionable.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 Hopefully justice is served in Dallas and they take care of business. They're pretty much going to have to get a huge lead and just let Wade have any drive he wants. Because which is better? Wade scoring 2 on a lay-up or 3 on a lay-up and a foul because a Dallas player dripped sweat on him?
lomasmoney 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 That "foul" on Wade was one of the biggest jokes I have ever seen. I didn't think that there was even a foul there at all, and if there was one it was something you would let go in overtime of a tie series in the fucking NBA finals. Wade gets every damn call, and I really am starting to hate this crap, it ruins the integrity of the game when the star player gets every damn call possible
Just John 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 Damn. And my Mavs in 6 prediction almost held up. I forgot to factor in a non-existant foul call and Josh Howard channeling the spirit of Chris Webber.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 I know it's cool to hate on the zebras and claim conspiracy, but Dallas missing their FTs at the end of games is the only reason this series isn't over by a 4-1 margin. The Heat have nothing to do with the Mavs choking at the line and the refs have nothing to do with Wade making his.
The Robfather 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 The no-foul foul will not be what is covered in the aftermath, rather Dallas wasting their timeout. Meh.

Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 How come did there's no bias for the Mavericks? Seems like they were the hottest ticket in basketball for a while there, suddenly they're getting shoved out of the picture as if they were the Utah Jazz. He's the new Jordan, BUT Dallas was 18 for 18 to start the game and went. . . wait for it. . . wait for it. . . . 3 for 8 to finish. Damp missed one, Dirk missed one, Howard missed a pair and some other dude missed one. You can't win an OT game by missing 5 free throws at the end, especially when Shaq isn't on your squad. Game over.
Adam 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 Cuban? Speaking of, I'm not up with the history - what's the story between Mark Cuban and David Stern?
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 ESPN hasn't even mentioned the fact that it was a questionable foul. I knew that was coming. If Wade was fouled at the end there then so was Terry at the end of regulation.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 Cuban? Speaking of, I'm not up with the history - what's the story between Mark Cuban and David Stern? Cubes has been fined nearly one. . . BILLION dollars (not really, but it's an obscene amount) by Supreme High Commander Stern for daring to speak out against the shitty officiating and stupid rules the NBA has in place. Don't be shocked if the dollar total goes up after tonight's debacle.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 Of course ESPN won't mention that there is any sort of conspiracy because the Heat are one of their favorite teams. If the NBA was trying to give it to the Mavs then ESPN would be crying. That Car dude on the radio ranted till he couldn't breath the other morning about how there was no conspiracy and everyone that thinks so is an idiot and a hater. The Heat have nothing to do with the Mavs choking at the line and the refs have nothing to do with Wade making his. This is true. Good play will always overcome bad officiating. However, that doesn't excuse the bad officials. The refs this post-season deserve to be called out for their consistently terrible officiating.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 Hey, the ESPN guys are saying it was a BS call. Where's Dama? They weren't saying it wasn't a foul they were saying that you shouldn't call a foul in that situation. Then Legler basically said that Wade was called based off of reputation(or star power). Thank god the idiots have eyes! Now if the main idiot(Stern) had eyes(or a brain) then all would be right.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 Outside of making the big shots, Wade didn't even have THAT good of a game. He was 11-28 from the field. When you shoot enough FTs for an entire team, of course you're going to be around 40 points. It wasn't exactly Jordan against the Celtics.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 Now what will ESPN and EA do with their video game covers? They already used the Heat on last years games(even though they didn't even make the finals). Maybe a shot of Stern and Riley in a dark alley exchanging money and Wade jersey sale figures.....
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2006 And it's true that Dirk missed a FT, but he came back and hit what should have been the game-winner before the "foul". Dampier is a bad foul shooter anyway. That's kind of like blaming the Heat's losses on Shaq's FTs.
