The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 I believe the only reason they took Masters of the road was the fact he was getting depressed about his shape after getting off of the steroids... a guy his age becoming a beast that quickly, then being told that's not want we really want anymore... it'll screw him up pretty badly. Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 I believe the only reason they took Masters of the road was the fact he was getting depressed about his shape after getting off of the steroids... a guy his age becoming a beast that quickly, then being told that's not want we really want anymore... it'll screw him up pretty badly. Some guys get addicted to being a certain size. Being told to lose that size can indeed do a number on a person.
Guest The Prez Report post Posted July 27, 2006 The psychological problem aside, if Masters doesn't have that crazy physique, what does he have? It's not like he can fall back on his mic skills and ability to work. I'm not even trying to hate on the guy either, because I was enjoying him slightly before he left. Vampiro69 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 Remember Masters is only 23. He has time to improve on his mic skills and moveset. Also with him probably decreasing in size he will more then likely be more flexible in the ring. Everytime I noticed him wrestle he always appeared to be stiffer then a stale breadstick. Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 Remember Masters is only 23. He has time to improve on his mic skills and moveset. That is true. But when you know you were only called up for one reason and then you're told to stop doing what it takes to keep that reason going, it can do bad things to your head. Just John 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 Something to think about: Why are all these "wellness violations" happening on SD? Besides Masters, has anyone from Raw become victim to this program? Seems like a suspiciously lopsided number of violations occur on SD.
The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 I think Masters will do alright as long as he doesn't get to down in the dumps. Before he left, he was playing he was coming into his own as the dumbass jock character. He's just another one of the young guys who were called up way too early. Vampiro69 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 Smackdown was probably the first show to get tested. I wonder if Regal still has traces of all the drugs in his system from years ago.
Guest The Prez Report post Posted July 27, 2006 Well, John, about the Smackdown thing, from the previous page: The Smackdown list is the biggest of all because Smackdown was tested independently of Raw and ECW.But I wasn't 100% clear on what that meant. Guest Oblivious Heel Report post Posted July 27, 2006 They don't care about Smackdown. Use those guys as ginnie pigs so the other two rosters can try to clean up before they're tested.

It sounds like they just they tested the Smackdown roster as a whole, but have yet to do the same with the other brands.
buffybeast 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 They don't care about Smackdown. Use those guys as ginnie pigs so the other two rosters can try to clean up before they're tested. Damn, I hope this statement isn't true. But somehow I would not be surprised if this were the case. Does SD! even have a decent roster anymore? Between injuries, wellness issues, and other factors, who's left to carry to brand? Batista?
Downhome 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 From PWInsider: As we broke yesterday afternoon during our Hot News Hotline in the PWInsider.com Elite section, Smackdown star Tatanka is the latest name to be removed from active duty by World Wrestling Entertainment and is expected to return in about 30 days. Just John 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 They don't care about Smackdown. Use those guys as ginnie pigs so the other two rosters can try to clean up before they're tested. I'm not normally much for conspiracy theories (and I can't even come with a logical motive for this one), but the excessive amount of SD stars getting in trouble is really bothersome, especially when other guys from there are getting shipped to Raw for no reason (Nitro, Orton). With all these new violations, I can't in any way see how this testing is being done in fair or consistent fashion. Seriously, just take HHH's name out of the hat and randomly test the Raw guys too. Hasbeen1 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 You can get in good shape without steroids or anything else illegal. Maybe not with cartoon level muscles, but certainly much more than the average guy out there. And it might seem like it would go without saying, but wresters retiring or dying arent good for business.
uhftv 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 was this testing always supposed to be scheduled for around this time, or was it pushed up when the Van Dam incident occurred so as not to attract anymore drug-related publicity?

Danville_Wrestling 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2006 According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has pulled Smackdown referee Jimmy Korderas from the road for health reasons. Okay this has gotten beyond ridiculous now. Edit: I don't mean ridiculous as in "the health policy is a joke" but simply because of the sheer number/range of talent that has now been pulled. It's just an astounding number.

Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted July 28, 2006 According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has pulled Smackdown referee Jimmy Korderas from the road for health reasons. Hmm, I wonder if Korderas is on the roids? The news of everyone being pulled off of the roster is absolutely amazing. Now even the reffs are going down. Disease or sickness? Shared needles? Steroids? Painkillers? Other drug abuse? Something we don't know about? A combination of things perhaps? Whatever it is, this is shaping up to be the most interesting story of the year.
