Rob Anybody 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2006 Luckily, White’s aim was untrue, and he only shot himself in the foot. His aim wasn't untrue, he was just pointing the wrong end at his chin. At least he gets his own superstar category. Raw, SD, Divas, Tim White.

MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 A little bit more on the Matt Morgan story, again from Insider. Matt Morgan's version of his arrest for impersonating an officer last week was that he was cut off by a woman while driving in Louisville and cut a promo when he pulled up next to her for doing it, telling her she was lucky he wasn't a police officer. While heading for the gym, he ended up running a red light and when the police ran his license plates, his car matched the description of a call they received about someone impersonating a police office while driving. Morgan was brought into the station and later released, but the local TV station got wind of the incident and reported he was arrested. Morgan was backstage at TNA this past Sunday and there's been some discussion of bringing him into that company. Please step out of the vehicle sir! *The 6'10" 330lbs Morgan steps out* Ummmmm . . . you be careful out there sir. Good day.

So does this mean the Royal Rumble is going to be a 30 man gang bang? And the wrestler who lasts the longest before climax wins and goes to WM?

Shooting Star 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 Smackdown is currently touring Mexico during the weekend..as you all know Masks are a really big deal in Latin America and Rey Misterio continues to use his even after loosing it. Even though he doesn't wear it in Mexico he still wears it in U.S.A and this could piss off the Mexican fans. Do you think that if he gets booed really bad in Mexico that will ruin any chance of him winning the title at Mania?

Do you think that if he gets booed really bad in Mexico that will ruin any chance of him winning the title at Mania? WWE already toured Mexico last year with the SD! brand so Rey already competed there with his mask on. I don't recall reading that he was booed or anything of that sort so there's no reason to think he'd get booed at this time but let's wait for some reports to come in to be sure. As far as Rey's chances for a World Title match at Mania, they seem very slim at the time. We'll have to see.

Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 Meltzer's report of the Mexico City show make it sound like it was a pretty dull show. Lot of screw job finishes. Animal running in during the opening bout makes no sense. At least they had one lucha star (El Hijo del Santo) appear. I'm sure it was one of those shows that was enjoyable live, though. Here's a full report taken from PWInsider.com. This guy seems to have enjoyed the show quite a lot so maybe Meltzer's source was an anti-WWE guy. The event was held at Palacio de los Deportes (Sport's Palace), the place was sold out. The show opened with the pyros and Teddy Long came out to the ring to present the show and he asked for one minute of silence in memory of Eddie Guerrero and then the 10 bell salute to Eddie but the crowd started chanting “Eddie, Eddie, Eddie !!!” during the salute ... wow !! That was pretty loud and emotional ... First match The Dicks def.Paul London & Spanky ... The Dicks won this one with some help from Animal who came out to the ring when the ref was distracted. Match time 8 min 10 sec Second match Lashey def Orlando Jordan with a belly to belly suplex (I believe this is what it is called). During the match Jordan climbed on the ropes and landed on the mat head first (funny thing)... Time 9 min 30 sec Third Match 3-way match for the Cruiserweight championship ... Kash vs Funaki vs Noble Kash retained the title after hitting Funaki with the cast on his arm and applying the driver ... Time 9 min 15 sec Fourth match Boogeyman def Sylvan Pretty quick match the Boogeyman winning with a suplex Time 2 min 30 sec The crowd started chanting Santo, Santo, Santo !!! when they spotted Hijo del Santo (Son of the Saint) at ring side. Hijo del Santo is the son of the most legendary wrestler in Lucha Libre history El Santo(The Saint) ..... Hijo del Santo used to be Eddie Guerrero's tag team partner in Mexico. Santo Sr R.I.P. and Gory Guerrero R.I.P. (Eddie's Father) used to tag team back in the 60's ...If you watch Eddie's DVD go to the matches section and you'll see the match When World's Collide, Eddie & Art Barr Vs Hijo del Santo & Octagon (Hair Vs Mask).... fter the Santo chants the announcer didn't know what was going on and the people were expecting Hijo del Santo to get in the ring but it didn't happen, and then they started chanting Mexico, Mexico !!! Fifth match MNM def Mexicools Psicosis was presented as "Nicho el Millonario" (Nicho the Millionare) a previous gimmick he had in Mxico after losing is mask in the 90's...they were in the ring holding an Eddie's poster and the crowd went Nuts.. Eddie, Eddie, Eddie !!! Very touching moment. Melina distracted the ref and Nitro hit Super crazy with the belt and pinned Crazy for the victory. Great match by the Mexicools. Time 11 min 8 sec INTERMISSION Sixth match Rey Misterio & Chris Benoit def Booker T & JBL Rey Misterio Came out to the ring wearing an Aztec crest. JBL and Booker T insulted Hijo del Santo who was at ringside, people chanted Santo, Santo, Santo !!....JBL and Booker T made fun of Mexicans looking at them as lazies that cross the border to go to work in the States. During the match JBL went to challenge Hijo del Santo at ring side and they got at it and then Santo punched JBL in the face (I think this was part of the show) At the end of the match Benoit connected the “three amigos" and Rey hit the Fog Splash for the win. At this time Rey invited Hijo del Santo to get in the ring (Santo was a special guest for WWE), now Rey grabs the mic and holding a Mexican Flag says inSspanish "I dedicate this match to the memory of Eddie Guerrero" and then says in English "Give the music", and Eddie's music played, and again the crowd just went crazy chanting Eddie, Eddie, Eddie !!! Seventh Match Kurt Angle def Mark Henry via DQ for the HW title Highlight of this match is that Angle connected the Angle Slam to Henry. MNM interfered and Henry was DQ. Angle grabbed a chair and hit both MNM with it. Time 7 min 33 sec Main Event Undertaker def Randy Orton Randy was presented and then the lights went out and the fans were crazy for Taker's entrance. Taker hit the tombstone pile driver for the victory. At the end of the match Taker went to ringside and shook hands with Hijo del Santo. Time 26 min 25 sec Overall pretty good show, the fans were over all the time. Some Mexican wrestlers were at the event, some of them wearing masks. Biggest Pop Eddie (his memory) Rey Misterio Mexicools Undertaker Hijo del Santo Chris Benoit Angle (believe it or not fans in Mexico like Angle) Biggest Heat JBL Bokker T

Silence 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2006 Benoit has had some crummy tights the last couple of years but this version is complete garbage. Any yellow or purple tights Benoit has worn in WWE really looked like garbage, especially the purple Powerman tights he wore in 2001 against Regal on Raw one night. WWE should give Benoit his old "wolverine slash mark" tights he used to wear from 2000-2001.
