Steve Corino can no longer be called "The King of Old School" because the WWE sent him a letter saying they now have it trademarked.

Or, Undertaker if they still all his top rope walk "OLD SCHOOL!"..I dont pay enough attention..

Speaking of which, when is Heyman going to stop sitting on his ass and actually book wrestling like he should be doing?

 

Probably when his contract runs out and he's allowed to do it again. Seems like Paul is getting a nice paycheck to just sit at home since he doesn't know what he's doing according to the brains in the E.

 

If they are firing anyone that Paul really liked then a lot of guys are going to be wanting to find new avenues of employment.

Heyman does have the ability to leave WWE right now but he's smart enough to collect money while he still can. TNA is a equally fucked mess and he can't be that willing to jump into that. ROH isn't an option unless he's willing to settle for shoots since ROH doesn't need a booker. I can't see Heyman starting a new promotion given how hard it would be for him these days. Hopefully, he's making good on whatever hollywood connections he has made.

 

I still wouldn't be surprised if Heyman ends up taking another contract with WWE to do 24/7. WWE would keep Heyman out of TNA and Heyman gets easy money. Quite frankly, I never got why they didn't just send Heyman back to OVW. It would keep Heyman from bothering Stephanie, made him useful and would have burned out his creative juices by the time the contract ran out that he wouldn't have much for TNA.

I got this off of rajah.com, but couldn't find a link to trace it back to slam wrestling, but nevertheless:

 

"The 2007 edition of the Survivor Series was tentatively scheduled to take place in Montreal, but that's off the cards now. According to the Canadian-based wrestling website SLAM! Wrestling, the event will be held in Miami, Florida instead.

 

"It was tentatively booked a long time ago, but we never announced (Survivor Series) would be in Montreal," said WWE Canada president Carl DeMarco. "There was a hold on the building, but sometimes there are routing issues."

 

All I can say is THANK GOD.

 

No way, did I want booking to revolve around "November 1997" again.

I picked up Nw0 04 and Backlash 04 ...a hair above 10 bucks. I just picked from the 4 dollar ones, or I probably could have spent another 20 bucks.

I was watching SummerSlam 2004 earlier (with a lot of FFing going on) - did RVD piss someone off that summer and I forgot about it? I seemed to block the fact he wrestled an epic bout against Dupree on Heat. Then again, Batista vs Maven was the Heat match before Bad Blood that year.

 

I also found it amusing that, only 2.5 years later, only one of the Divas from the dodgeball game is still in the WWE (Victoria) while TWO members of the Diva Search team (McCool and Maria) have jobs despite losing the search. Maybe that's just me, though.

Venk, I asked this question on this board several months ago, but since you mention this event, i'll ask again to see if anyone knows.

 

During the video package for HHH and Eugene, theres a piece of soft piano music played in the background.

 

Any idea what it could possibly be, or just someone from WWE on a piano?
