DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2007 At least it means Chavo will actually defend his Cruiserweight title. Heh, I actually forgot he was champion. I don't mean that in the way that people post "duh, there is a PPV tonight? LOLZ I KNEW THERE WAs BUT DON'T CARE!" but I mean I was really picturing Gregory Helms as being a title defender at this thing. Part of that is probably because I was doing title matches in SvR 07 (where he is still champ).
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2007 "Crowd liked Funaki though (but dude he needs to get new tights, those must smell real bad by now)" Surely, in his Nine Year WWE Career, he has only been able to afford one pair. ...and he never washes it. DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2007 http://www.wwe.com/superstars/smackdown/ma...tdiearies051407 They're actually pushing the idea of Matt vs Edge on WWE.com, which more than the "do nothing with previous history" route I thought they would take. milliondollarchamp 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2007 Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter We reported last week that Vince McMahon had instituted a doctrine to present the divas of the company in a classier manner in order to obtain more mainstream sponsorship. It appears as if McMahon has made a 180 on that decision and decided against it since Kevin Dunn was very vocal in saying that it would not work and would wreak havoc on the upcoming Diva Search (which is considered Vince's baby). Matt Young 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2007 Apparently, Socko Energy Drinks (who make the Holk Hogan energy drinks) are producing a WWE energy drink line to sell at Wal-Mart. DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2007 I thought he started picking up his game in his Kane feud and much more so with Benoit. Wonder if MVP being Benoit's project is why he wasn't moved to Raw.

Golgo 13 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2007 On Jericho. He's still better than 75% of the roster when dogging it, so hell yes I want him back, if for nothing else than for a fresh change of pace since apart from Edge winning the belt, shit ain't happening. Jericho back would be good for at least three months of TV no matter the brand and you would think after being out he would be more motivated anyway. Granted if he comes in as a face (especially after going out like a bitch) my enthusiasm drops a bunch.

You know, Kevin Dunn needs to suffer some kind of injury that renders him unable to think. The only point of the vast majority of the divas is to act slutty, Dunn (I don't know who he is) is right in that. Now, I skip pretty much all the diva segments because I know where to find better jackoff material, but to have a bunch of "classy" women paraded on TV who still can't wrestle would be even worse. WWE has 3 options really, one is to scrap the whole diva thing, second is to release all those who can't wrestle and hire some talented females from the indy's and have a proper women's division, or finally to keep with the slutty eyecandy and keep a few who can work to not make the whole thing disastarous. But yeah, Jericho as a face long term just isn't as entertaining as Jericho the heel.

Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2007 ... you got a thing for ol' Lance or something? Anyway, there was once a time when women in wrestling, even as managers/valets, weren't ho'd up to the gills. They can still be sexy without looking like porn starlets. Superfly Snuka 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2007 Vinnie Mac talks it up! - Said that WWE has tested high definition and will be going to it within the next year. Wrestling in high def, like Porn, would be a huge mistake. Trust me, you don't want to see all the zits from roids, among other things, in high def (or scars from fake boobs/busted faces). Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 This "Jobber" is the former Amish Roadkill (of ECW fame), under a new gimmick of course. He's currently in OVW under the name Antoni Polaski, after a brief run as Tony Braddock. He might have the droopiest man-boobs one has ever seen though... Abdullah the Butcher says "hi!" cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 In regards to Braddock/Polaski/Roadkill....why on earth did they change a really fun and marketable gimmick like Amish Roadkill to a disgusting, shirtless, fat fuck gimmick like what he's doing now? Having watched OVW I can vouch for seeing those hideous man boobs, and can't help but think how this was never a problem when he worse the Amish outfit as Roadkill. Just wondering, but how would Lance Cade be on his 3rd world title if it was 1987? At best he'd be a poor man's Barry Windham, and Windham himself never got 1 world title in the 80s (not sure if his NWA title in 1993 counts or not).

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Paul Roma is awesome on the Horsemen DVD. The Horsemen DVD was very boring. This is from the NWA/WCW ultra-mark. I love Flair and Tully and Arn and even Ole could work. I even dig Sid, love Barry, didn't hate Roma. Benoit and Pillman are gods. But this DVD was SO GOD DAMN SLOW. SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 I read they baited Roma into saying shit to make the DVD more interesting, this true? That's what I heard (I forget where though, so take this with a grain of salt). Apparently Roma had been saying nice things about the other horsemen, and then they told him they had spoken negatively of him. Then they taped Roma's tirade, showed it to Flair, Anderson, etc, and then that inspired them to bury Roma. If the story is true, I don't think I'll ever pick up another one of those WWE produced documentaries, unless the included matches are pretty damn sensational.
