Just thinking outloud here. There can't be too many major WWE superstars that WWE isn't advertising for the Summrslam card. Benoit's the only guy I can think of right of now but than again I don't know who's on the card.

He might not be anyones favourite around here (I can't stand him personally) but Umaga's missing from the PPV at the moment. Yeah I know he'll be playing the role of the Spirit Squad at Wrestlemania but he's still not actually on the card.

 

Trish, Mickie and Lita are all without Matches you could argue thats a good thing but they are really good as palatte cleansers between BIG or brutal matches.

 

Are there any tag team titles on the line? I don't think so. What about the Cruiserweight title? ok they aren't actual Superstars but come on!!

 

Hell someone has pointed this out already but THE UNDERTAKER has a free dance card if the Khali match is done with at Smackdown.

 

And finally unless someone has added matches, neither RVD or Kurt Angle have anything to do.

 

That is a LOAD of people currently on television without recalling anyone from the injured list or mentioning Bret Hart leading the WCW revival.

Not sure how reliable this is, but I felt it warranted a post at least. Supposedly a poster (a well respected moderator) on the Wrestlecrap boards was able to get copy of the new McMahon DVD early.

 

Apparently it has Stephanie saying on camera that Vince suggested to Steph about doing a incest angle with Vince being the father of her baby. When she declined, he threw out the idea of Shane being the father, which she also declined. Vince also wanted to put the Stephanie/HHH wedding on PPV.

 

Take that for what you will.

Most people won't see it, but compare what Orton will sometimes try in the ring, then watch some Rude. He'll also try to make a Rude like smirk occasionally. I just wished he would have picked up the charisma and mic skills of Rude.

Well, consdering it's an OVW shot.. and considering he's wearing (what look like) Master's trunks.. I'd wager that it is Masters - even the profile of his face looks exactly like him. He does look smaller, but I think the angle of the photo is contributing to him looking even smaller than he actually is in that photo.

Completely not warranting a thread but two points of hopeful interest for the masses:

 

(1) I found a videotape from 2004 when I was clearing out some tapes that was the Raw with Benoit Vs Shawn for the Title, the video package touched on the 3 man feud between HHH and those two and I have a comment about it, Thinking back to that time would anyone else agree that the move for Benoit was actually a bad thing cos when they made that feud it was really Shawn Vs HHH with Benoit shoehorned in for no reason. Now if he'd stayed in SD it would have been Benoit Vs Brock (I heard a rumour the reason Brock left was he was jobbing to Undertaker after WM and decided fuck that) with hopefully Eddie still getting the main event push he ended up getting. In the flip side to this on Raw they could have easily shunted Jericho into the main event feud talking about how at WM 18 he faced HHH WM 19 he faced Shawn and at WM 20 he was against both of his hated rivals.

 

(2) is anyone else annoyed that the noted Genius with the book Paul Heyman wasn't able during the Smackdown 6 era to see how just perfect as an Asshole Heel Edge was? This last year the man has just been the only guy who can get crowds to cheer for Cena, which shows how amazing his heel work is.

While Benoit didn't get the stature that a champion should get for being champion, Benoit was easily the most protected man of 2004 because of the fact that he was on Raw with Hunter, and Hunter wanted him to be strong as "his Ricky Steamboat", which basically meant that Benoit wouldn't be super strong, but protected so that he could always main event against Hunter and his group.

 

If Benoit was on SD, he wouldn't have been protected half as much, but he probably would have been higher as a champion. That said, second he went to SD, Benoit's push was gone without Hunter to promote for him all the time.

Khali is already out the door and Im assuming that they are refering to Trish who is a more notable name then Khali.
