BorneAgain 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 *Backstage, Paul Heyman welcomed WWE World champion King Booker and Sharmell this week to ECW. *Sabu & Tommy Dreamer & Sandman defeated Matt Striker & Mike Knox & Test, DQ when Test shoved the referee. The brawl continues until Sandman starts caning everyone, but he doesn't get his hands on Striker. *Backstage, Paul Heyman introduces Booker and Sharmell to ECW stars. They meet Stevie Richards and Christopher W. Anderson. They meet Balls Mahoney and are grossed out by him. *Kevin Thorn (with Ariel) pinned. Balls Mahoney (with Francine). Ariel tripped Balls, which led to a catfight. Mahoney was distracted and caught by Thorn with the Razor's Edge. *Backstage, King Booker and Sharmell meet The FBI (with the returning Trinity) and then CM Punk. Punk says that perhaps one day they'll wrestle for the WWE World title. *CM Punk defeats Shannon Moore. Kelly Kelly was watching from the entranceway, but Mike Knox made her leave. *Backstage, Rob Van Dam challenges Booker T to a match tonight. Booker accepts. *Paul Heyman and the security force come to the ring. He tries to speak but is booed. He says he is the father of ECW and unlike the disgusting people of MA, Booker is royalty and was invited to ECW. He says the fans will drink his Kool-Aid tonight. *Backstage, Rene Dupree discussed beating Balls Mahoney last week. *In a non-title Extreme Rules match, WWE World champion Booker T pinned Rob Van Dam after Hardcore Holly interfered. I believe next week is a supershow so I don't know if that's a factor (which it shouldn't be as its gotten a live TV show of its own before) or if its for good. Grenouille 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 I wonder how long the Heyman promo will go on TV. Sitting there it felt like it went on for 20 minutes, but the guy had the crowd the whole time. The six year old yelling obscenities made it fun though, until his father who was sitting a few sections away came to check on him, good parenting, there chief. I won't come down too hard on it this time since SD isn't even on here until the CW debut, so this ECW show will be a chance to see Booker. That said, what is with this shit with Hardcore Holly? Have they ever explained why he hates RVD so much or why he would constantly run in on his matches? It's not yet on "Worst Feud of the Year" level, but they are making entirely too much out of a 2nd rate mini feud. Why not just have an extreme rules match, RVD destroys Holly, end of story? Have they ever explained why he hates RVD so much or why he would constantly run in on his matches? I think I remember Heyman telling Holly that RVD had said some derogatory things about him regarding his Hardcore name/reputation or something to that effect. Therefore Holly got pissed at Van Dam. I'm not implying that it was a well done angle or anything like that. I'm only saying there was precedent for the actions, even if it was a flimsy one. As for Holly believing a well-known liar? Most wrestlers are stupid and/or gullible and easily distracted. How else would you explain any of them being distracted by a manager/valet/second in a match when they have a match won? uhftv 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2006 Everytime I think theyre setting up a longtime program for the ppv they blow it off the next show. And I dont like having the same match for consecutive weeks like Punk/Moore. Especially if it's a squash, cause they could use someone else, and it makes it feel as if they dont have enough guys. They'll probably ignore the history of Booker and Rob being put on Smackdown together at the same time as the tagteam made up of former ppv maineventers that were pedigreed to the midcard. I actually dont mind using talent from other shows as long as it's underutilized guys like, tagteams. Yeah pretty mun anyone on smackdown i dont mind, since its so hard to find the last 9 months.
