Bruiser Chong Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 23 pitches for 9 outs. Have they forgotten how to work a count? I mean, once Abreu came, that's all they did. They're still in a state of shock over Mussina blowing an enormous two-run lead to a team that won 95 games.
bobobrazil1984 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Awesome. There's still a lot of game to go, i expect yanks to narrow it but this is looking like the Lakers-Pistons 04 all over again

dh86 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Bonderman is pitching even better than Rogers did
2GOLD Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Man, the Tigers starters are in command right now. But the Tigers manager is Jim Leyland so I'm expecting them to blow in in the ninth when someone with a .112 batting average hammers them.
Guest Paul Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 I want a talking Lasorda puppet, so it can yell at me in my home.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Tigers are gonna have to start worrying about being no-hit pretty soon. Bonderman's around the 40 pitch mark through five.
Annabelle Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 this is bringing a tear to my eye. vindication. i can wear my tigers hat with pride.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 16 people reading this topic and almost no one posts. Are we waiting for an implosion or something?
Annabelle Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 the yankees will be completely overhauled. i expect torre to be fired by 9 pm et.

vivalaultra Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 I bet some NL team is gonna be able to get A-Rod on the cheap this offseason... My God...wasn't it just a couple years ago that Jermey Bonderman lost like...45 games?
Annabelle Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 i actually don't hate the yankees nearly as much as most, but i hate their current team. i hate how the team is being run. so seeing them be eliminated in such a decisive blow out fasion is beautiful. they deserve every second of it. though my bride sorta feels sorry for the yankees. but what does she know. CARLOS!
randomguy Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 The Yankees can't be overhauled effectively unless Cashman is gone. The guy sucks. Terrible. The Yankees have tried to overhaul a couple times already, always with the same result: a lot of money spent on guys who are in their waning years or injury prone. Edit: Bonderman had the most losses in baseball a year or two ago IIRC. But he is one of those guys that everyone was waiting for to turn the corner.

bob_barron Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Hasn't Stein made a lot of the decisions that have been criticised? banky, I thought you were an As fan
mike546 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 I really thought this was the year. Damn. Better luck next year I guess.
Guest Paul Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Yeah, Steinbrenner wanted Sheffield instead of Vlad. That was REAL smart. No...most of them won't and shouldn't be overhauled, by any means.
Annabelle Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Hasn't Stein made a lot of the decisions that have been criticised? banky, I thought you were an As fan i am. thats what makes this so much more beautiful. my two teams. one of which in the world series. i've been a tigers fan since about 89. thats our nbc affiliate (wdiv) so i used to watch more tigers games with harwell & kaline than i did with the blue jays. i don't even remember their commentators from that time.
bobobrazil1984 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 7-0! wow it would take an epic collapse to f this up. Go tigers!
Vern Gagne Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 So much for teams backing into the playoffs not being able to win.
Annabelle Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 topping on the cake? seeing rudy guliani cr. please cry.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 The Boss was the one who HAD to have Randy Johnson. And Pavano. And Wright. This is his fault.
bob_barron Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Well you can't hate on him for wanting Unit. But him overpaying for Wright and Pavano was hilarious
naiwf Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 This is awesome. Thank you Tigers for a winter's worth of suicidal Yankee fans. It's been 6 years without a title. The room is spinning!

Annabelle Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 The Boss was the one who HAD to have Randy Johnson. And Pavano. And Wright. This is his fault. exactly. this is all steinbrenner's fault. no one elses. anyone can blame a-rod. but his team THREW him under the buss. jeter is supposed to be the captain of this team. he should have put his hurt feelings aside & unified this team.
