Part of the problem was the cutoff guy, who might have batted down a perfectly good throw home. Sure, it got Pujols into a rundown, but it seemed like the rest of the infield was a little surprised that they were attempting a play at second base there. It's not like the Mets wouldn't play those teams if they were in the Amercian League anyway. And Wainwright gets him looking for the final out in the ninth and a win for the Cards.
