cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2006 Okay here is the lineup for Sunday with predictions. 1:00: Tennessee at Washington: Titans played surprisingly well vs. Indy, but I have a feeling that was a one week fluke. Skins by 14. Seattle at St. Louis: One of my rules of the NFL right now is that the Seahawks can't beat anyone decent on the road. Without Alexander I doubt they will here either. Rams by 6. Carolina at Baltimore: Ravens are coming off a short week, Panthers are playing better. Seems like a total tossup, but I'll go with the Ravens at home by about 4. Buffalo at Detroit: Bills got waxed by the Bears, now they go on the road to play the Lions. I actually think Detroit will pick up that first win here by 7 or so. Houston at Dallas: The Texans are hopeless. Dallas is still good enough to roll a bad team, especially at home. Cowboys by 17. NY Giants at Atlanta: Here's another real tossup. Giants can't afford another early loss, Falcons can't afford a home loss. I'm thinking Eli rallies the Giants late, forces OT, and Giants win by 3. Cincinnati at Tampa Bay: Bengals really can't afford a 2nd loss coming off a bye week, especially against the winless Bucs. Cincy by 10. Philadelphia at New Orleans: Eagles have been on a major roll. Are the Saints really this good? Another tough call, but I think the Saints pull off some sort of home magic to win by 5. 4:15: Miami at NY Jets: Oh lord. The Dolphins can't beat much of anyone, the Jets are really up and down and coming off a 41-0 beating from the Jags. I'll have to go with the Jets by 7, mainly because when they play fairly well they are better than the Dolphins. San Diego at San Francisco: The 49ers can be oddly tough at home, but I can't see the Chargers flopping in SF like the Rams did. Chargers by 14. Kansas City at Pittsburgh: Interesting matchup as the reeling Steelers need this one badly. I think Roethlisberger gets it together enough to win this one by 7. 8:15 Oakland at Denver: This one should be funny. Or maybe just ungodly boring. Denver in another ugly game, something like 17-3. Monday 8:30: Chicago at Arizona: Matt Leinart, are you ready for some pain? Bears by 21. EDIT FROM ANDY O CBS 1:00 CBS 4:15 FOX 1:
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2006 Oakland at Denver: This one should be funny. Or maybe just ungodly boring. Denver in another ugly game, something like 17-3. I think Denver should put up 34 here, probably with a couple of defensive touchdowns. The Raiders have a legit chance to go 0-16.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2006 Houston at Dallas: The Texans are hopeless. Dallas is still good enough to roll a bad team, especially at home. Cowboys by 17. Week 5 had the Cowboys implode from the pressure of the Eagles front 4 resulting in several turnovers and sacks. I can see Mario Williams getting 3 sacks in this game and run a fumble back for a TD. I would'nt give the Cowboys a +17 spread the Texans are not the worst franchise in the history of pro sports today like the Raiders so I would lower the spread to +3. But then again the idiot kicker might miss a several FGs giving both Parcells and Jerry Jones heart attacks.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2006 The 'Skins usually react well after laying eggs in the Meadowlands. Especially at home versus a medicore team. Shawn Springs might FINALLY be back this week which changes not only the options in the secondary, but allows Greg Williams to bring back the blitz packages that have been missing all season.... Skins 28 Titans
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2006 I'm ready to drink the Joey Harringtonic. Dolphins over Jets.

tominator89 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2006 Bills release Troy Vincent. I'm curious if the Eagles will be interested in him.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted October 12, 2006 Vincent is done for this year, and he's quite old. Plus, they moved him to safety because he's lost his speed.
tominator89 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2006 He actually passed a physical and is able to play. I don't doubt that his speed has declined but with the Eagles injuries in the secondary it might not be a bad idea to give him a look.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 13, 2006 Detroit has the worst pass defense in the league, if I'm not mistaken. I know they've given up the most passing TDs, at least. At home or not, they're losing again this week.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2006 This has to be one of the worst one-week schedules I've ever seen; those prime-time games are the drizzling shits. I'm getting Houston and Dallas for the 1PM game? Pass.

I'm getting Houston and Dallas for the 1PM game? Pass. Our CBS games are kinda blah, but Carolina/Baltimore as the 1pm Fox game is fine by me. I wonder why that section of the California coast is vested in Tennessee and Washington. Hey guys: It's the other Washington.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2006 well, fantasy football wise, I have a lot riding on the KC/Pit game so I'm fine with that, but otherwise Houston/Dallas is rather blah....St. Louis/Seattle should be alright.

At home or not, they're losing again this week. No, they're not. The Lions gave up 11 TDs thus far which does make them the worst the league. They are the third worst team with giving up an average of 265.8 yards per game. Only Green Bay and Houston are below them.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 Raiders suspend Jerry Porter for four games: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2625466 When did the Raiders suddenly become the worst franchise in football? Was it hiring Art Shell? Failing to have at least one competent QB on the roster? Or were there other signs that I missed?
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 Im pissed off that the new local FOX affiliate here will be showing the Eagles game instead of the Ravens game meaning no Ravens game on TV here this weekend. Appalling to me considering this is Maryland and not fucking Pennsylvania.. I had to work tomorrow anyway but I would have liked to at least be able to come home and watch it off the tivo. Im hoping it turns out to be one of the better games so theres a shot it gets replayed on NFL Network.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 15, 2006 Seattle will make St. Louis their bitches this week. I actually think St. Louis is going to surprise them here. The Rams are becoming one of the better teams in the NFC. They run the ball well, have a more than solid passing game, and underrated D.
Guest Felonies! Report post Posted October 15, 2006 Did they finally give up the on-site pregames? Good.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 The Cowboys game is going to be one big trainwreck it seems that nobody can hold on to the ball....so far we seen TWO fumbles on the kickoff both of which should be called down by contact. And the Cowboys might as well bring in Tony Romo cause the line isn't doing any favors for Bledsoe.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 Man, just nothing worth watching on CBS. Stuck with the Skins vs the Titans, which is just an exciting barnburner. Although if I was watching the Ravens/Panthers I'd be getting the great combined effort of Boller and McNair going for nine yards.

The Rams are becoming one of the better teams in the NFC. They run the ball well, have a more than solid passing game, and underrated D. That was my read on it. No Alexander doesn't help the Seahawks either. 14-7 Rams so far. St. Louis has looked great on offence so far.
teke184 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 The Saints are putting up a good show so far, up 10-0 by stopping the Eagles' offense and executing well on the offensive side of the ball. If not for a Drew Brees INT near the end zone, this would could easily be 17-0.
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 Television gets it's cake & eats it too when it comes to TO...he is shown relentlessly, then the talking heads/announcers get to complain about him 'taking' too much attention. When will they accuse him of having a goon in the production truck as well?
devo 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 Houshmandzadeh makes a hell of a TD reception to put the Bengals up 7-0 after nearly a quarter and a half of defense and field positioning. I'm really amazed by how well the Saints are doing. If they end up with a win today, I really think they have to be considered as a legitimate playoff contender. Ripper 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 The Falcons have a super bowl champ level defense with a offense that just can't put points on the board thanks to an inept offensive coordinator. This is getting frustrating.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 Hey Raza, you're a Texans fan right? What's this crap I hear about some fans wanting Carr OUT in Houston? Are they REALLY that nuts down there? The guy completes an average of 75% of his passes with zero time. What's the damn deal? In other news, Vince Young looking like a quarterback against the Redskins. Charging the Titans back into the game with 10 straight points.
