randomguy 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 Go for it Jets! Go for it! I like how a 3-2 team that hasn't beaten anybody can be "elite" in some people's eyes. Edit: About KC, Green is out, the line has gotten older and Priest Holmes is gone. They've been driving towards a cliff for a while now. The team got old together, and their defense has never been any good although they pretend to make it over every year.
devo 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 That's the first time I've actually seen someone take advantage of Polamalu's flowing mane. It's not a foul, so you'd think tailing players would grab a big lock of hair whenever possible.

tominator89 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 I don't think the Eagles are an elite team, NFC or not. They've lost to the Giants and Saints, and their best win to date is over Dallas who isn't that great either. On top of that, if Drew Bledsoe wasn't completely worthless that game could have gone to O.T. and anything could have happened. At 4-2 they've got a solid record, but they also have at least 7 losable games left (vs Jacksonville, and their last 6-> @Indianapolis, vs Carolina, @Washington, @N.Y. Giants, @Dallas, vs Atlanta) Sadly, I'm inclined to agree. The Eagles have blown two 4th quarter leads and amazingly enough those are the two games they lost. It's a shame to see Michael Lewis play like this on a contract year. He was replaced by Considine later in the game.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 The Dolphins are the worst trendy Super Bowl pick of all time. They are TERRIBLE.

randomguy 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 Why did people pick the Fins anyway? What did they do to get better from last year? Got a QB who is at most pretty decent and coming off a terrible injury? Harrington just threw an awesome field goal. Too bad that doesn't count for something. Edit: Horrible coverage by the JETS, guy never looked back.

Red Baron 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 So I'm completly wrong on my Seattle will make St. Louis their bitches, but Seattle won, in probably one of the most exciting games of the season. Fuck You St. Louis.

naiwf 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 LT just scored his 4th TD of the game. They're all short runs though (5, 1, 1, 5) and his overall rushing numbers are pretty subpar with 21 rushes for 71 yards and a long of just 9. He also has 7 receptions for 64 yards. Rivers is probably SD's best player today though, 29 of 39 for 334 and 2 TDs.

Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2006 Damn, that was too close. The Dolphins nearly snatched the win away after offering it to the Jets on a silver platter. Must be in the contract this year; get ahead early, and let the other team come back. Close one, but i'll take it.

Guest Smues Report post Posted October 15, 2006 The last few weeks as all this TO crap has been crammed down our throats I always saw him in front of Dr. Pepper ads. Guest Paul Report post Posted October 15, 2006 I liked the Giants stealing ATL's running game from them, today. So, T.O. is appeased today, catching 3 TD's. Good. Now shut up.
teke184 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2006 I liked the Giants stealing ATL's running game from them, today. And thus ends the argument that the "only" reason Atlanta lost at New Orleans was that the Dome's atmosphere wouldn't allow any opposing team to win. While that may or may not be true, it IS true that Atlanta is one-dimensional and, if you prepare for them correctly, you can shut Vick's overrated ass down. randomguy 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2006 Atlanta can't win with a running back at QB. It is that simple. I loved watching Vick at VT but in the NFL he just can't play QB.

Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2006 Why the hell is this Raiders game the late game on NBC? Who's bright idea was this? meh Oakland, is a historically popular franchise with a large national fanbase and playing against division rival Denver(also, a large fanbase) is good for ratings. Who really knew Oakland would be THIS bad? I still maintain that it's written in Madden's contract that he gets to cover at least one Oakland game per season. I only brought it up because my Sporting News this week has a picture of Vick on the cover and a quote bitching about how he's tired of everyone telling him what kind of QB to be. CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2006 This is a horrible game. Denver should have put up at least two more TDs. This defence better play this well against offences that are actually good, or they're looking at 9-7 with how bad the offence is. I'm quite worried about the two Chargers games, as well as the Bengals and Colts. Lamont Jordan is NOT happy about that fumble.
