WWE 24/7

Recommended Posts

Yeah it's still cool. I never got the When Worlds Collide PPV last year for whatever reason, so it was nice to see that show even if they did FF through the Eddie/Barr vs. Octagon/Santo match. The same stuff is mostly the shorties section which has the same bunch of matches from last May.

I want them to show the following shows in the Big Ones over time: 1. Old WCW PPVs from 1990-94, stuff that I haven't seen or could use an upgrade. 2. WWF stuff from 1995-97, mainly the IYH shows and all that. Though I haven't seen SummerSlam 1995 at all.

By the way, I owe the Razor Ramon Coliseum Home Video an apology, becaue I ripped on it being two hours, but it is actually pretty good.

Drury37 do they show all the matches in full.

I don't know if every match is in its entirety, but they have the WWF WrestleMania X Ladder Match and the WWF Royal Rumble 1994 match both for the WWF Intercontinental Title in their entireties I know they have that atleast. Oh and the great Rick Martel Vs. Razor Ramon match which I love for the WWF Intercontinental Title from WWF Monday Night Raw in 1994.

Ok thanks

Oh joy! More crappy 2003 PPVs!

In all fairness Vengeance 2003 was a solid PPV aside from the Vince/Steph nonsense. But Judgment Day 2003? I seem to recall that show sucking hard at the time.

Question for you all, I am noticing that the Championship Wrestling from Florida stuff is being hosted my Mike Graham. He is doing the intros from Florida at his beach house I presume, are these just the ones that he did on DVD or are these new intros with shows. Also any one know the rattional as to why they skip around on shows?

Indeed it was, Vengeance included a very entertaining Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio vs. World's Greatest Tag Team match that showed wrestling can get over with the WWE audience if done right. The crowd was electric at the nearfall towards the end of the match, too bad the two teams didn't have more pay-per-view encounters.

Hell I even liked that silly Noble/Gunn match with Noble wanting to pay Torrie Wilson for sex. I had forgotten that whole storyline, but I'm assuming Nidia just broke it up on SD the next week so it likely never went down.

As I said earlier, if they insist on showing these dreary 2003 PPVs can they at least drag out SummerSlam 03? I have never seen that show since we had a problem with the cable company. The amusing part of that show from the results is that the RVD/Kane match was 2nd to last. Considering how buried RVD was in that entire Kane unmasking angle you'd think this might be the piss break match before the main event. Yet it was too high profile to be a piss break match...was this seriously intended to be the semi main event?

You're half right. Nidia originally wanted to break it up but agreed to make it a threesome. Before that could happen, Gunn showed up to break that up, but hilarity ensued, and it became a foursome.

New Legends roundtable, Judgment Day '03, new ECW and Prime Time Wrestling episodes. I actually have this week and next's ECW shows on tape from YEARS ago. I'm interested in looking at those and seeing exactly what got changed.

So is this the 2nd or 3rd episode for the roundtable? Either way WWE/Cogeco is keeping a good streak of airing the first roundtable episode of a "season" then nothing again.

I think its the second, but I've also been fucked over with with getting all the programming, so I cant say for sure. Its no wonder WWE 24/7 doesnt have as many subscribers as they wish for, when they cant satisfy the customers they have. Honestly how hard is it to make sure everyone gets everything they are paying for.

Exactly one person mentioned getting a second episode weeks ago but with some question ("what I assume is the Legends roundtable" or something similar) and no one else said a word about it since, so I'm guessing this is the second episode.

As for 24/7 Subscribers, I meant to mention in here that last week's WON mentioned they are up to 84,000 subscribers. That's considered a big increase (I think it was previously 33,000) but they want more, of course. I've also seen conflicting reports as to programming issues; sometimes if people call their cable company, they say they're waiting for WWE to send the content. When you e-mail WWE, they imply (in an automated message) that it's the cable company's fault and they will contact them about getting things right. They also added a disclaimer right before they stopped putting up monthly schedules that "Programming is subject to cable provider" or some such.

Off topic, just a reminder that next week, as per al, we're starting the monthly thread experiment, so if you're the first person to report on new June programming, do a new thread.

Youre right I did read that two days ago.

Well, I just ordered WWE 24/7 last night. I figure that even though it's $7.99 a month, I can justify it because I just cancelled a website domain I was paying over 8 bucks a month for.

Anyway, I really like it so far...I watched the WCCW episode last night, and really liked the build up they're doing to the Flair/Kerry cage match. Caught a little bit of ECW last night, and it's unbelievable how cutting edge that program was for '95.

I just noticed last night that the ECW show is listed as 94 minutes. Is this a clock mistake by my cable company or do Tazz and Joey have a really (really) long conversation?

Right now voting is going on for the PPV for June. I hope everyone is voting for Superbrawl III!

Joey: I don't think Dreamer even had a chance to wear the belt.

Tazz: It's not a belt, it's a "championship". Come on Joey you know better.

I love the way they host.

I can only imagine how a season of the Legends show would be if they brought Heyman in to do them (hey, he has to earn his pay somehow right?). Ross, Heyman, Bischoff, Dusty, and Hayes. That would be good.

The only new shows I have this week are Prime Time and ECW, no Judgement Day or the roundtable. That's the first time since I suscbribed that I didn't have a full update. Another problem I had was at the end of April, my cable company took off all the shows except ECW on a Monday, which made me miss Armageddon. By what I've read in this thread, it seems that everybody had a problem with 24#7 at one point or another.

The Judgment Day / Roundtable thing is a bit of an oddity. It seems, more than any other programs before, a LOT of systems are missing that. They are also not listed on the website I got next week's update schedule (see the June thread).

I already have SuperBrawl III from a while ago on 24/7. Why not show SuperBrawl I or II instead? I demand obscure WCW PPVs from the early 90s!

I agree SB 2 was an awesome show IIRC

I recorded both judgment day and vengeance yesterday without watching them (i was watching the wm 23 dvd instead) new prime time on though gottta watch that and the monday night war before it expires this week.

The new Legends show is brilliance. It's a better show now without Mike Graham there to drag it down. The fascinating element is that there is some underlying tension with all of the guys involved. Foley and Bischoff likely don't care for each other. Hayes and Lawler likely don't either from stuff in 1979. Ross and Bischoff probably don't like each other. Even while discussing their favorite feuds they throw in rants about backstage politics, guys today playing a character rather than speaking as themselves, and so on.

The next show is going to be Heat Seekers, guys who had enormous heat backstage. I wonder if Orton will be featured, or if we'll need to wait 20 years for his self destructive feature?

Yesterday my menu finally removed "Primetime" from the buckets but didn't add the missing Legends show. I could take solace in the fact that my cable company also seems to be messing up TMN On Demand (The Movie Network in Canada / Ontario) with missing episodes of Bullshit and Entourage, but that's annoying me too.
