Guest NYankees Report post Posted November 19, 2006 Does Borat have the legs to make it to $150 million? I dont even know what Happy Feet is.
Pegasus Kid 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2006 Wow I didn't see Happy Feet pulling down that kind of scratch. Never underestimate the CG animated family movie. When you get kids, you get at least one parent. I can't see Borat making $150. It'll probably top out around $125. The DVD sales for that flick will be through the roof though. Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2006 Better opening for Bond than I expected. Daniel Craig opened higher than 3 out of the 4 Pierce Bonds movies. Saw sucked, just let it fall away already. Still glad to see the Departed doing well. I'm going to have to see Borat to see what the big deal is

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2006 I'm going to see Borat and Saw III tonight, so there's $8 for each.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2006 What has the world come to when another animated animals flick actually can outgross a Bond movie? It used to take stuff like, oh, TITANIC to outgross Bond in the opening week.

bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2006 Wow its not every day that making $40 million in a weekend puts you in 2nd place. Still, "top movie" bragging rights aside, I'm glad Casino Royale had a good opening. Was one of the better Bond movies.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2006 Wow, Lets Go To Prison bombed, despite for some reason I want to see the movie. Oh and I did see Borat. It's good, and there are some good lines, but its not the funniest movie of all time.

It's just gore, I didn't enjoy it as much as the first two, but it didn't suck.

It used to take stuff like, oh, TITANIC to outgross Bond in the opening week. Animated movies with animals have been gold for decades. I've said it over and over again...never underestimate the power of animated talking animals and normally inanimate objects.

It's just gore, I didn't enjoy it as much as the first two, but it didn't suck. I wasn't scared, but I didn't fear for anyone's safety, I didn't care if anyone made it. I didn't like Saw 2 either. The third one just wasn't any fun for me.

It's good, and there are some good lines, but its not the funniest movie of all time. While I loved Borat, I do think it's overhyped. I was unable to see Horrorfest. Anyone here get to? ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2006 Happy Feet had something helping it out... It was in IMAX. At least at the IMAX near me, tickets are $14 a pop.
cd213 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 Saw III was a very good movie. Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean it sucks. That statement sounds like EVERY movie critic out there. There is a difference between films you like and good films, and bad films and films you don't like. Saw III was well written and tied up the entire series. It would have been a great ending if that's where they wanted to end it.
