Fökai 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2006 I believe in Vince Young now. And may I just say how FUCKING DUMB that Kimonawanalaya guy is for half-tackling Vince, thinking he's just some regular schmo quarterback and will fall down if he's touched with one finger, and walk away from it... ON FOURTH AND GODDAMN 10! OK. Kiwanuka is thinking he's going to get called for a roughing penalty, because he puts his head down at the same instant that Young goes into a throwing motion. Just look what he does when he lets go of Young - he looks behind him to see where Young threw it. On fourth and 10 at that point in the game, that's a deadly penalty to give up. That "bone-headed play" is the result of the trigger-finger of the referees forcing defenses to be even more tentative on how they can pressure the quarterback. Guest Felonies! Report post Posted November 27, 2006 Hey, you're right. My mind was muddled with frustration after Rex Grossman shat on a gift-wrapped march to a touchdown. I still can't get over "Chargers might miss the playoffs." Even Schottenheimer can't botch a playoff berth at 9-2.
mike546 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2006 Honestly, I blame no one but Eli. They purposley put no pressure on him for the first three quarters and just ran the ball, and when he finally had to do something in the 4th, he shit the bed. It's amazing the Giants D help up that long, with their top 2 DE ends not playing, their top 2 CBs not playing, and a couple of their starting LBs not playing. Eli needs to grow up and stop being a piece of crap.

sfaJack 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2006 Marvin nailed it. The change to Sunday night is a big problem because it makes driving 3 1/2 hours back to Houston after the game a really daunting task, given that there is a 99% chance I'm gonna have to be at work @ 6:30 Monday morning. And by "be at work" I mean "can't take the day off." FUCK! Flex scheduling is so stupid. I know I sure appreciated that scintillating Eagles/Colts game last night! Who (besides alf) didn't love that???

I agree with all that, but you still can't go out and single out your QB for the loss in front of the media, especially with all the players that have called Coughlin out for bad coaching so far. That's only going to get worse now. They're going to quit on him really soon.

Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2006 Cowboys sign Gramatica and release Vanderjagt. I'm surprised that Dallas got fooled into thinking that Vanderjagt could kick outside of a dome. Most accurate kicker in history, my ass.
The Man in Blak 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2006 That's Martin Gramatica, BTW. Why do NFL teams spend any kind of substantial money on kickers again?
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted November 27, 2006 All the ESPN experts are calling it a Seattle blowout tonight, so I'm feeling a bit more confidant about GB's chances. No. We want a Seattle blowout so Favre and Driver rack up garbage time fantasy stats.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2006 That's Martin Gramatica, BTW. Why do NFL teams spend any kind of substantial money on kickers again? Because they generally make about 50-60% of the kicks teams really need them to, and that's a slightly better conversion percentage than going for it on 4th and 5+ early on in a game. When a guy like Vanderchoke misses clutch kicks he can get cut. When a coach deviates from the "book" too often and doesn't succeed, he tends to get fired. I guess what I'm trying to say is that kickers are generally cheaper and easier to replace scapegoats than anyone else on the team.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2006 When has home-field advantage ever helped the Colts? Well, to be fair, they only had HFA last year... remember, the big knock on their playoff collapses this decade was "They keep having to play on the road... if they had HFA and everyone had to come to the dome, they'd make the SB!" Though we did see how that turned out

Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2006 "He extended his middle finger outwardly as an expressive gesutre to the fans". You can't say "he flipped the bird", I guess. Anyways, what? Is this 1997? I thought we advanced from playground antics like the middle finger into full-out brawls? I'm disappointed in Mr. Vick for his lack of vitriol. teke184 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2006 Wouldn't Atlanta take a massive cap hit by trading Vick? Unless we're talking about Marcus. Wouldn't you take the one-time hit if backup QB Schaub can come in and win consistently like he's shown in the past? Vick's inconsistent as well as an off-field distraction right about now. Throw in comments he's made about the coaching staff and his own receivers and you'd have to wonder how well he's liked in the locker room right now.
tominator89 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2006 That all depends if it's a one-time hit. Peerless Price is still on their books.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2006 Matt Shaub has never one a game. He has ONE good game against a depleted Patriots secondary. Thats not amazing. And to be clear, vicks bird finger was directed at a guy who made michael richards sound like a member of the NAACP. He deserves to say fuck you to this city. you have your coachs dad ripping on you. The entire city says you can't pass when in truth the recievers can't catch (yesterday vick was 9-24...except there wer 5 easy, no way in hell anyone should drop this drops putting him at 14-24 and he had to throw the ball away 3 times due to the blitz not being picked up leaving it at 17-24. He threw 3 bad passes, once decent pass could have been caught but I am not blaming the reciever on that one and 3 pretty good deep balls that were pretty well covered or the Lelie decided falling and trying to get a flag would be better) He has a incredibly inept offensive coordinator, a offensive line that can only run block, and people blame him for atlanta losing. But they aren't trading him. Hopefully they fire mora and his staff and move on. Blank was walking with Dan Reeves on the sideline this before the game...the look on Mora's face was hilarious. If your boss calls you the right amount of shit you will say fuck you to them too, so yeah, Vick has the right to say fuck you to someone who crosses the line.
