chaosrage 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2006 If anyone wants to see the Suns game and doesn't have a league pass, the TVU link here is decent quality. http://www.myp2p.eu/NBA.htm You can download the TVU program from one of the links on the left. Edit: Right after I say that, it starts skipping. Sopcast is actually working better now.
teke184 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2006 I'm hoping that Bobby Jackson and David West can get healthy soon so that the Hornets will start winning regularly. I'd say the same thing for Peja, but we knew he was an injury risk when he got signed.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2006 Suns defeat the Nets in double OT 161-157. Yeah, I know. Kidd had another triple double with a 38, 14, and 14 performance while Nash had a 42, 13, and 6 perfomance, hitting 6-7 from downtown.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2006 Iverson has asked for a trade. They mentioned Denver as a possibility; I could also see LAC, Chicago, Boston, and Minny offering something.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2006 I'm rooting for the LA Clippers to get him. I can't really think of a scenario where they do but it would still be awesome. Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2006 I have to admit that I would love to see AI go to Chicago for the train-wreck factor... you think there are conflicts between Skiles and Wallace? Baby, you ain't seen nothin' yet if that takes place.
chaosrage 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2006 Only one post for the amazing fucking epic Suns/Nets battle? One of the best NBA games I've ever seen. If Nash can continue to play like that, he might deserve a 3rd MVP award.

Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 The Magic lose to the Pistons in one hell of a game. Basically the Pistons played like a veteran team down the stretch, and the Magic showed their youth... its been awhile since I have seen an NBA game and enjoyed it so much. And yes, I say that after that 313 point, double-overtime defensive masterpiece. [/sarcasm] My god, those gold and black unis are FUGLY, and Gilbert Arenas is a weird, weird dude. Guest "Go, Mordecai!" Report post Posted December 9, 2006 Looks like it's going right down to the wire in Chicago tonight. Too bad I can't follow the game, because NBA broadcast restrictions force them to be on a local cable channel that I don't get, and they're on a shitty radio station whose signal doesn't even get past Fox Lake, instead of 720, 780, or 1000, which covers the majority of the country at night. Oh well! Go Bulls, anyway! Anyway, they won by 3 and get back over .500. Splendid. Beat the Timberwolves tomorrow!
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 I loved the Suns/Nets game. For a person who doesn't watch much basketball, this game reminded me of all the times I played basketball in highschool. Up and down action, clutch shooting, great plays from great players.

Human Fly 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 Talent wise? I have been playing with the old ESPN Trade Machine: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/trademachine If the Sixers just want to blow up their team a deal for Eddie Griffin, Bracey Wright, Ricky Davis, and Mark Blount would work financially. Griffin, Wright and Davis would all be off of the books after next season ($9,728,609). ESPN is saying that Minnesota is hesitant to deal Randy Foye which I would think would be a sticking point, also they are unable to trade their first round pick. Minnesota I think has a lot of guys who would be finishing touches on a team, not who you would trade a superstar for. I would be surprised if a deal gets done. Chicago has a lot of pieces, I would be surprised if they do not make a pass. For instance a deal with PJ Brown, Tyrus Thomas and Luol Deng would work. Lowering the Sixers cap by 2.5 mil with PJ Brown's 8.5 salary coming off of the books after this season. But do you need all of those forwards on the Sixers. Maybe the Bulls are not a good trading partner with the Sixers as I do not see them getting rid of Ben Gordon or the Knicks pick.
chaosrage 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 Not all of us have NBATV, you know. Well that's why I gave you all the stream to the game on the top of the page before the game started. There's no excuse for anyone not to have watched this game by now.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 For instance a deal with PJ Brown, Tyrus Thomas and Luol Deng would work. Why would the Bulls trade a guy they just drafted? And they like Deng. That isn't happening.

If the trade doesn't involve Foye, I dont see the Sixers making a deal with Minnesota. A trade with Boston could make sense since the Sixers would get Ratliff or Wally along with some sort of combo of Jefferson,Green,West,Allen,Telfair,Rondo. USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 Despite the fact that both Ford and Villanueva had played about 2 seasons with their original teams? Not the same situation as the Bulls trading a ROOKIE they just drafted in the first round.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 Despite the fact that both Ford and Villanueva had played about 2 seasons with their original teams? Not the same situation as the Bulls trading a ROOKIE they just drafted in the first round. Charlie had just finished his rookie year. And a much better rookie year than anyone could expect out of Tyrus Thomas. You are going to sit here and say that a team wouldn't trade a rookie for a top 50 player of all time? Come on. Thats not what makes Chicago making this trade unbelievable. What does would be the signing of Hinrick to that extension and him needing the ball to be effective. The problem is that Chicago lacks a inside offensive presence and that is what is holding them up. I don't see them trading for..well...basically a more consistant Ben Gordon who is a better playmaker and plays passing lanes. But they would give up Deng and Tyrus Thomas and PJ Brown in a second to get Kevin Garnett right now without thinking about it. I personally don't see where Iverson could go right now. Nobody can really match salaries. Unless Orlando wanted to send Grant hill and some other players to philly for allen, but I just don't see Thorpe doing that. Minnesota would have to give up so much that the team would still suck. Although Randy Foye HAS to be a shining pretty bright to Philly. At then end of the day though, here is my guess. Ray Allen and Danny fortson have big ass salaries and could match Philly for Iverson...might be his destination. And Philly could do worse.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 And just to add, Drew Gooden was the number 4 pick overall and got traded his rookie year. ANd he was averaging 14 points and almost 8 rebounds a game at the time and shooting 50 percent from the field. So its not like he was a bust. Tyrus in comparison is averaging 4 points and 3 rebounds a game. I guess my point is...yeah...he is very tradeable.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 I'm not sure why the Bulls would go after Iverson instead of Garnett. Iverson gives them an excellent scorer and a gamechanger, sure, but they already have lots of talented young guards and small forwards. Garnett with those players physically changes their composition and gives them a the inside track in the East. Both take pressure off the 16-million dollar mistake as far as scoring goes, so I guess both are good in that sense.
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 As a Bulls fan, I hope they do not trade for AI. As talented as he is, Chicago is trying to build a youth movement, I don't want to see them ruining that and aiming for guys at the end of there prime. Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 The Celtics were the closest in the offseason and I still think they have the best odds. Something like Ratliff, Gerald Green, Delonte West and a draft pick would make sense for both clubs.
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 No, considering everything that the Magic have been through with Grant Hill, I doubt that he in any way could be trade bait, and I doubt any other team would take him. Grant is prolly going to retire within the next two or three years in a Magic uni.
Human Fly 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2006 The Clippers might be an option with Shaun Livingstone being part of a trade package. Salary wise Cuttino Mobley and/or Corey Maggette would have to be part of the package. Call me old fashioned but I just do not see the Sixers trading AI to the Celtics where he can kill them in the division. Also any trade with the Celtics is going to include Brian Scalabrine because other than Ratliff, Wally S. and Paul Pierce because no one else makes more than 2 million dollars on the team. I do not know what kind of provisions are in his contract regarding trades but you have got to think that AI wants to go to a contender. The Celtics, even with Iverson, would be no contender.
