Ok, I was at a restaurant watching Idol on TV. Saw who the "mentor" was for this week (JLo) and my only remark was:

It was interesting to note the difference in Lopez and Stefani. J'Lo seemed quite patient with everyone and praised people. Stefani you could tell thought most of them were a joke and threw in some thinly veiled barbs. Guess it shows the difference between someone who isn't much of a musical talent and mainly gets by with studio production compared with someone who paid dues in an actual band for years.

I was actually expecting Sanjaya to fall into the bottom three because he actually had a strong showing, making me think the votes would decrease in his favor but as soon as Seacrest did that tease shit, he was clearly staying home.

 

Sanjaya doing country has me all excited. I think Haley would have done more with that then Phil will. I could see Blake doing something with Cash and wouldn't be shocked if one of the big three get sneaky and do "I'll Always Love You", which would allow them stay in their comfort zone.

Phil has the Navy thing which gets votes. He plays the ugly, but annoyingly sweet family guy... and plays up the church stuff, which the old southern folk love. Phil's played his role perfectly, which is the only reason he's still around. And his voice isn't that bad... the longer he stays, he may actually sing a song that fits him, and could do good.

Haley has a cuter face, was a bit too thin, and as Leena noted, her boobs weren't exactly in Jessica Sierra/Katie Weber/Brenna territory. She needs to talk to Pickler's surgeon before going on tour. Kat is (was? Lush help me out here) a little "bigger" than the average female pop singer, and I'm perfectly fine with that.

 

Haley was gone either this week or next regardless. Phil the Stalker is done this week...
