I was just happy to see Phil not in the bottom for once, maybe he got the country vote? actually I was hoping Lakisha would get cut, cuz now she may stick around and cause phile to get eliminated sooner. (i'm sorry I just don't like her and dont get why she would be so popular, clearly melinda and jordin are better singers IMO) nice save by simon on the whole VA mention, since its getting around the news now. oddly enough I had the "oh no hes not gonna use that for a cheap pop" reaction last night. Â so what its the theme next week? all they did was hype the "Idol" cares charity deal.
cabbageboy Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 Last night I too thought Simon looked disgusted at Chris mentioning Va Tech, but I had the same reaction. It was such a cheap, blatant attempt to pander for votes. And you know what? It worked big time. Chris was in the top 4. Â Sanjaya is finally gone. The show has basically lost its car wreck appeal, since most everyone left has some basic level of competence. Â I think I've figured out Phil's appeal. He's the lone verifiable heterosexual male left.

Also, is voting supposed to make you feel better because you're making someone else to give money to charity? Â Like Lush, I just watched this. I really got nothing out of Phil's performance, and LaKisha's was just there. Blake will still be around because his fans are probably scared of a repeat from last week. I didn't like the song choice either, and I was back to not feeling it with her performance, even though the emotion was there and all that. And she's generally likable in every way (which makes her kind of boring). But, when she's bad, she's really bad. The girl seriously needs to get in shape. Her and LaKisha... damn. Stay still. Â Judges pimped her from the start, though... so, they won't say anything negative about her. Â And if she beats Melinda, I will not be pleased.
