Grindhouse

Recommended Posts

I saw the full trailer the other day. It's every sort of awesome, and it kicked my ass. I can't wait to see how it sits with critics, and at the box office.

Black Snake Moan looks to be the first flick that I've thought Christina Ricci is hot in. I thought she was cute in a few movies when she was a teenager, but now...I think she's hot. Looks better blonde than dark-haired, which I usually don't say.

Grindhouse will be amazing. There hasn't been a bad movie from either Rodriguez or Tarantino - lesser-quality, but not BAD - and ROSE FUCKING McGOWAN and KURT FUCKING RUSSELL. MACHINEGUN LEG and DEATH CAR. I will love this piece of shit.

This the return of the great Kurt Russel action hero from the John Carpenter films of the 80's as I remember him from: The Thing, Escape from NY, Big Trouble in Little China!

This car is 100% DeathProof, Only to get the full benefit of it Honey you need to be sitting in my seat!

That is so awesome. You can so tell that Tarantino wanted Mickey Rourke in that role, but when he couldn't get him, plopped in Kurt Russell who's going to kill in that role

Page Six is reporting CARA is looking at giving this the good ole NC-17 unless drastic cuts are made to get to the R. I'd hope between Harvey, QT, and Bob Rodriguez there'd be enough clout to get CARA to bend like they did on Transformers. If not, expect a midnight NC-17 show in addition to a very nice DVD package.

They're apparently going to do all kinds of weird stuff to make it seem like a late-night drive-in. Fake artifacts in the film, fake previews for nonexistent films (one segment to be directed by Rob Zombie) definitely a labor of love. I'll see it opening weekend. Kurt Russell is so the man.

I don't anticipate much sex in this movie, so if it's NC-17, it's the first movie since the inception of that rating I can name to be so based on violence. (Well the Wild Bunch was rated X).

I wanna see it, but I can almost guarantee if its NC17 it wont play around here, and Id rather wait for the Unrated/NC-17 version on DVD than to pay 10 bucks to see the editied for an R rating version.

Regardless of the final rating, I'm seeing this ASAP in the theater, its one of those films that the theater experience would be quite the trip, me thinks.

"It's Blood."

"Son of a bitch!"

I am so there. This is the most anticipated movies of the year for me, and I really can't wait. Friday can't come quick enough.

How come, this long into his career, there hasn't been someone who successfully convinced Tarantino he has no business acting? He has a bit part in both films; without ruining anything, his on-camera time in Death Proof was passable, but his performance in Planet Terror completely undermines what was supposed to be a pretty tense scene. Stay behind the camera, you mouth-breathing fuck.
