Yay, we get McCarver all year long! Fun abound.

Opening Day doesn't count with Pavano on the mound. Nor Mussina. Only True Yankees TM, please.

My stupid cable company still hasn't reached a deal with MASN. But they were kind enough to run ads that said it was coming April 1st only for it to turn out the ads were from Comcast. And Dish has it upload but for some warped reason, isn't offering it to the Mid Atlantic subscribers. In short, this sucks so much. But at least I have WGN with the Cubs until Mediacom gets off their ass and reaches a deal.

It's almost hard to believe that the season's actually going to begin about eighteen hours from now. I'm a little giddy.

I'm so excited for the season to start that my nipples are hard. It's been a long while since I've posted something long and rambling. Oh yeah. Oh yeah, indeed.

Ha. You missed the game on Saturday vs the nationals with Rick Dempsey in the booth. Hes terrible. Jaret Wright was Garrett Wright and he messed up on a ton of other names. Luckily hes not the full time guy, but honestly I'll take the availability of all 162 Os games on Directv via MASN vs the previous years where the Os were only only about 80 or so on Comcast via Directv.

I love the ads they run to..

Theres one for opening day and it goes over Erik Bedards stats and then it goes "TAKE A SEAT JUSTIN MORNEAU!"

Furcal's starting on the DL.

Geez...now I gotta dump HIM from my fantasy team, too. Seriously, I drafted Carlos Quentin, Chone Figgins, Freddy Sanchez, Randy Johnson, Furcal, and Gagne. All of them on the disabled list. Oy vey. At least I didn't draft Kenny Rogers.

Yeah, he's not hurt, he just needs 'more innings' or 'more time' something before he's ready to be a closer. If I were a Rangers fan, I'd wonder why they even bothered signing Gagne when Otsuka is a really good closer himself, but, I'm not a Rangers fan so I don't care one way or the other.

Are Baker and Morgan working together? Oh, that will be incredible.

Are the FOX games only for the opening weekend or are they going to show games all year instead of from June or so on like they usually do?

I checked their website and looks like it is every Saturday this year, although now they will go with a single timeslot of 3:30 PM EST/12:30 PM PST for the year instead of the split timeslots of the past.

No nationally televised Phillies games? With the HR Champ, the MVP, and the best 2nd baseman? Plus an okay offseason? Boo.

Don't you get Comcast anyway? It's useless to bitch about the Phillies being on national tv because it gets blacked out anyway. (And I get PISSED when they're on Fox because I don't get Fox Philly and Fox in SWB picks the Yankee games.)

The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox, two of the nation's more popular teams, and bitter rivals, make nine MLB on FOX appearances including four head-to-head match-ups (4/21, 4/28, 6/2, 9/15). The Chicago Cubs, behind new manager Lou Piniella and the Phillies, with 2006 National League MVP Ryan Howard are also featured nine times. The FOX SATURDAY BASEBALL GAME OF THE WEEK schedule also includes eight games apiece for the White Sox, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, the A.L. Champion Detroit Tigers and World Champion St. Louis Cardinals.

ESPN gets the rights for baseball's opening night, a rematch of the most exciting series from last year's playoffs, and they bump it to the Deuce for women's basketball? Srsly?

Didn't they get Gagne for cheap? If he works out, it's a bargain and if it doesn't, no hard loss.

Well, not only that, but Gagne could make for ideal trade fodder for Texas if they aren't in the race at the deadline, as seemingly every contender is looking for help in the bullpen as they come down the home stretch.

In a bit of surprise Travis Buck has made the A's opening day roster. I'm hoping they give him a shot to play everyday in rightfield and keep Swisher at first with Dan Johnson on the DL as it would be pointless to have him make the team and sit on the bench.

How good is the MLBTV? I'm going to have to use that since we're not allowed Directv at my apartment complex.

Flat rate? By month? Also, has anyone hooked up their computer to a big screen to watch MLBTV? Good quality?
