Youth N Asia Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Eric's the most normal, Turtle's far and away my least favorite of the main characters. He's Vince's biggest kiss ass
Craig Th Posted September 10, 2008 Author Report Posted September 10, 2008 It's so hard for me to decide who is my favorite. Some weeks it's Ari, some it's Drama, some Turtle and some even Vince. E is never my favorite.
Mik Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Billy Walsh is the best character ever. Out of the main characters, I like Drama and Ari the best. Vince gets to do all the cool stuff but he's not really that great of a character.
Aero Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Speaking of Billy, I hope we get to see the fall-out of Medellin on his end. I'd assume he'll probably just be back to directing porn. Whatever happened with Silo? I can't remember if it was cancelled last season or not. I'm assuming it's not happening now just based on Sunday's episode revolving around Vince not having any work.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Billy Walsh is the best character ever. Out of the main characters, I like Drama and Ari the best. Vince gets to do all the cool stuff but he's not really that great of a character. I agree 100% with this statement... Plus add Lloyd, Ari wouldn't be complete without him.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Lloyd helps, but Ari was the superstar of Season One without him.
Craig Th Posted September 10, 2008 Author Report Posted September 10, 2008 Whatever happened with Silo? I can't remember if it was cancelled last season or not. I'm assuming it's not happening now just based on Sunday's episode revolving around Vince not having any work. You're right, I forgot all about that. No, they didn't mention anything about canceling it. Though, I am guessing it was dropped because Medellin blew.
Mik Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 The first time Drama yelled in to the phone I just about lost it. That plus Ari's temper tantrum at E were both hilarious. But good episode with Vince taking the right steps to get his career back. They're making a nice build here. Ari vs. Adam Davies next week should be classic.
Boner Kawanger Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 I thought tonight's episode was a little weak aside from Ari at the golf course, but it really took a turn upwards when Vince said he was ready to play the game. Hopefully, that will help freshen things up.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 Last night was the most energy Vince has shown since season 2. It was refreshing. Drama was great as usual too. Is it just me or is there a lot more random nudity/sex this season?
Lt. Al Giardello Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Drama was MVP for that episode...
Lord of The Curry Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Agreed, Drama took that one and ran with it. I like the episode and felt it was an improvement on the premiere, very interested to see how the whole "Vince is ready to play the game" storyline goes and it seems like they're going in a similar direction with Eric going behind Ari's back and giving Amanda the script. I doubt that's going to go over well with Vince when it happens. Assuming they're continuing the "Vince Chase: Movie Star" thing I'm intrigued to see what kind of a scandal causes him and Justine Chapeman to break up because I doubt that's lasting long.
Boner Kawanger Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 I saw the Drama swerve coming so that hurt it for me. I'm glad he's single and (still) crazy again. EDIT: In a post-Dark Knight world, I roll my eyes when Ari mentions Aquaman being the highest grossing movie of all time.
DrVenkman PhD Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Well I was rooting for either Rain Wilson or NPH, but hey, I don't mind that Jeremy Piven won the Comedy Supporting Actor this year - it's all good. I have to make that point here since we're apparently not doing an Emmy thread this year.
The Truthiness Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Ok that was some funny shit.
The Truthiness Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 That might've been the best Entourage ever.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Yeah, far from it but still a good episode. Drama's descent into boozedom is awesome. Ari pwning Davies was great but the car race felt tacked-on.
The Truthiness Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 What is your favorite episode, LOTC?
Lord of The Curry Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Not this one. Off the top of my head the docu-drama episode of Medillian was worlds better then this. Also the one in season one where Ari crashes Josh Weinstein's party and owns him. Anything with Busey. All better then this one. It was fun but I hate Debi Mazar (although her assistant Kristy would get it) so I can't in good conscience enjoy this was much as others.
The Truthiness Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 I forgot about Medellin documentary, but I think Ari's feud with Davies ending with the funnies bitch slap ever, was better then him owning Josh Weinstein at that party. Drama as usual, was awesome, but a fucked up Drama is even better. I thought him and E was going to end up fighting at the sweet 16 party.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 No way on the Davies slap. The speech he gives Weinstein followed by stealing his drink, taking a sip and saying "That's awful" is much worse of a pwning then just a bitch slap.
The Truthiness Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Yeah, that was awesome, how he did Josh. But he bitch slapped Davies, told him "THAT, was a bitch slap, and we can finish it outside, if you don't apologize right now " Then he made him apologize in 3 seconds in front of Davies whole office. You can't go wrong with either, though. Ari is awesome, when it comes to making his competition look like bitches.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 In a weird way during the episode I got the feeling that Ari was going to end up losing the battle with Davies. I'd say that on the whole it isn't over and Davies fucks him over big-time before the season is up. Vince for sure had a "Damn, that hurts" look on his face when E told him that Ed Norton wanted to do the firemen movie.
DrVenkman PhD Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Would a spin-off dealing exclusively with Ari's day to day business be too much Ari and Lloyd? Because I have a feeling I'd love a show just about Ari.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 I wouldn't like it. Entourage has a good balance for him because when he's around Lloyd and Vince and Co. he can be "Ari" and when he's around his kids or has to show his emotions it's good because it balances well with the agency life. If the show were 100% Ari they'd need to soften him up and I don't want that.
Black Lushus Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Ari bitch slapping Davies is my current all-time Ari highlight. Hopefully this doesn't come back to haunt him in the end. Does anyone else think that with the way this show is going, there's really no clear cut ending other than Vince willfully giving it all up and returning to a normal life back in New York? Once the series finally ends, I mean.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 I can see that, yeah. Maybe even something like Vince, Turtle and Drama heading back to NYC and E becoming a succesful agent in Hollywood.
Cartman Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 I think E is on his route to failure as well. I mean already everyone keeps reminding him of how he is responsible for Vince's situation.
Black Lushus Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 I like how TI wanted some sex scenes with Meryl Streep. P.S. I'd hit that too.
